Once again. Google doesn’t have a satellite up there taking pictures. They just put them together in one handy place. Anyone can get these pictures without google if they want to pay for them.

Did the Brits in the area not know that there was a "secret" sub base there? Unless they too special care to get every map publisher, GPS seller and satellite photo organization in the world to hide it, it was already known and pretty easy to give a latitude and longitude. Google Earth just makes looking at the satellite images a little easier than before, but they were already out there.

Faslane has been a sub-base since Brits had sub’s. Heck I played a submarine video game in the 1980’s where the homeport was this base for battles against the German u-boats.
I believe there was a report that due to budget cuts, most of the Brits boats are tied to the pier and not on patrol anyway.
