"I ask you - who is John Galt?"

We have been in the Flooring business as a family for over 40 years.

We have decided to shut it down and sell off the inventory.

Our accountant gave me a breakdown of all the taxes and money expended to satisfy the government for the last ten years and its staggering.

We were setting up our daughter to take over but after these last few months plus the info on what we have expended to satisfy the government we are not going to saddle her with that mess, especially with the move to punish small business with the current administration.

Instead we are going to set her up with a bundle of Certificate of Deposits in local banks. She can use the interest to supplement whatever Job or career she can find to suit her. But I am going to strongly dissuade her from any business where she has to have employees! Its just not worth it.

Bottom line we are shrugging and we are passing the idea along to our daughter!

"when you get to a long winded soliloquy, mark it with one of those “sign here” flags and skip it."

Except for Francisco's "Money Speech" Read it the first time and every time and commit it to memory. Copy it down and put it on your wall. Take it to printer and get a poster made of it.

My copy of Atlas Shrugs has been tagged so I can open directly to that part!

Yes, to success! I’m to page 252. I read “The Fountainhead” several years ago. My husband gave it to me as a birthday present. I loaned it to a mother at preschool and never got it back. Figured out later that she was a liberal school teacher. She probably burned it. Oh well. Hubby now has another birthday gift idea - a replacement copy.

I am reading Glenn Beck’s recommended book The 5000 Year Leap and it is amazing. Everything that our Founding Fathers warned against is coming to pass today—everything!

Everyone in America needs to read this book! Everyone!!!

That, fundamentally, is why the libs hate her so much.

If by “helped out her husband”, you mean stayed on-shore, and ran the office, dealing with customers, vendors, and government, while Hubby was out catching fish, I think you’ve stated it fairly.
