LEHIGHTON, Pa. (AP) -- Martha Stewart's puppy has died in a propane explosion at a northeastern Pennsylvania kennel.
Stewart says on her blog she's ''deeply saddened'' by the death of her chow, Ghengis Khan, in Friday's blast at Pazzazz Pet Boarding kennel in the Pocono Mountains.

What in the world was her dog doing in a kennel in Lehighton? People don’t even want to drink the water in Lehighton.
Cool name for the pup. How tragic for Martha. I’m so sorry for her sake.
horrible
That’s Not a Good Thing
sorry to hear this...we lost our 14 1/2 year old pomeranian in January and I still think about my little Copper daily with a broken heart...
on a side note- it’s pathetic how the NYSlimes covers this yet dismisses the Tea Party’s around the nation...
I’m sorry for her loss. I’ve seen pics of her with that dog. I know how I would feel if it happened to me. I hope the animal didn’t suffer.
Sad, but surely we can lighten the mood by inserting a John Kerry “Jenjis Khan” joke somewhere...
Deeply saddened and about to sue the pants off the kennel owner...
I’m so sorry for you. I pray God help you through this.
We had a beautiful mutt named ‘scooter’ that had cushings. We had to put her down in ‘06 (Fortunately our twins were 5 months old and keeping us busy). I can certainly sympathize with your loss.
Wow, sad news. A propane explosion in a kennel is not on my list of things I worry about. Where’s my pencil?
Next up, Martha does Chinese cooking with a flair!......................
Seems the propane company caused the blast, not the kennel owner.
I’m sorry to hear of your loss and Martha’s as well. I would be desolate without my little Pom buddy ‘Pixel’. Still, 14 years is a good long life full of love. Most pets are not nearly so lucky.
15 posts after Martha says she’s “Deeply Saddened” and nobody mentions Puff Daschle?
The dog knew too much and had to be silenced. A good hit always looks like an accident.
I’ve only been a dog owner for about 5 weeks now and even though the pup is destroying my carpets, I can’t imagine life without her. It’s a sad thing.
“’Deeply Saddened’ and nobody mentions Puff Daschle?”
You’d have to add “disappointed.”
They don’t call that breed “chows” for nothing.
or..
“Bush’s fault”
