I ran across this article while reading the online edition of our local paper. I think this is blatant in it's reverse racism. Is this occurring in other area's of the country?
I would like to hear other opinions and what it could be portend for police departments across the country if this becomes the standard hiring practices of cities, counties and states.
What is reverse racism? </s>
I feel that I have a farily good grasp of the English language and racism is racism. Doesn’t matter the color of the person.
Oh wait...
Nothin’
Come on, admit it, you have apostrophobia!
People’s radio show “This American Life” ran a segment this weekend about black’s anxiety over whites moving into “their” neighborhoods. Entirely from black racists’ point of view. Not one mention that maybe integration might be a good thing.
“I feel that I have a farily good grasp of the English language and racism is racism. Doesnt matter the color of the person.”
I was going to point out that reverse racism must mean loving someone purely because of their skin color. It’s the only thing I can make of “reverse racism” because racism is a definition that fits any descriminition against any racial group.
I refuse to buy the current PC that only whites are racist.
The article is interesting in that it makes it plain to see what is going on. However, an unintended consequence of the article is that it shows how many problems exist in the black community. They cannot hire qualified people for a job as a police officer. Another issue, and maybe the biggest, is that it is getting worse. The current aging generation that should be filling these entry level jobs have been allowed to slip through the education cracks without intervention. Sad what we will have to endure in the future. The complete break-down of America — all thanks to radicals like the one we have in the Whitehouse.
Hey, you stole my post! THERE IS NO SUCH THING as reverse racism. There is racism, that’s it. It’s that simple.
The police departments are imbalanced racially because of several reasons, mainly because few black apply. I wonder why that is?
As long as preferential treatment, or at least perceived preferential treatment is given based upon race, then there will always be a “problem” regarding race in this country.
You see - the policy of hiring qualified candidates for a job or position isn’t good enough (at least to the race-baiters). Kind of goes hand in hand with equal opportunity vs. equal results.
Socialism rolls forward.
LOL!
YES, YES, YES, I will finally admit that, indeed, I am a apostrophobic.
It feels so good to finally be able to get that out in the open.
Thanks for your help.:)
Problem? I don’t see a problem.
Just dumb down the standards, tests and requirements necessary to enlist.
That’s how affirmative action works, right?
Why is this background white? Cracker, puh-leeeze.
[apostrophes is an apostate!]
I just had mine checked and the doctor said IT”S FINE.
But just you wait till the headline police get here and see you revised the headline.
You're gonna be in trou-bllleee...
What do blacks say when whites start moving in their neighborhood? On no! Here comes the neighborhood.
South Park did a show about rich blacks moving into South Park and building mansions and such. It was called Here Comes the Neighborhood. I was hilarious.
