As this is being written, joblessness has hit a 25 year high. The Dow is plunging and neither Obama nor Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner can open their mouths without making it go lower. There’s one sure sign of distress and distrust; few people want to join the top ranks of his administration.

I agree about the spirit of the people in the 30’s and 40’s - but that same spirit is not in the younger generation. Which is why I so respect that older generation. We did not realize how great they were.
Now we have weaklings and our country will suffer.
But, maybe this is the time they either grow up and stand up or America fades. It is up to them what kind of country is passed on to their children.

Bush is not president - we are in real trouble and it is not the fault of Bush. It is the fault of the socialist onslaught, the propaganda media making people hate Bush, and the ignorant society that does not even know what socialism is.

They will not remove him because they do not want the problems it would cause. If they were going to act - they would have done so before he was put in office.
You are right about doing something productive and going after the congress. Time for us to stand up to the corrupt congress that merely plays us.

There are many of us who do know what is going on. We had better start getting unified to exert pressure on those seeking to sneak things through.
We can still use the internet, we can use our emails. Make sure every person you know has access to the truth with news articles showing what the media will not. We could all counter the propaganda by making sure the truth hits those email boxes.
At least that will insure that the media does not have full control of the population. Send those emails - not with opinion but the news reports of what is actually happening in Washington, what the bills really do.
Do any of you realize that the stimulas allowed Obama to sneak in provision for the panel that will be determining what treatment your doctor can provide. They will set the guildlines of what will be paid.
This means rationing of health care which will be used against the weak and elderly.
What about the bill cancelling the protections Bush put in so that doctors were not forced to do abortions if they had problems with the ethics? Now Obama is making all doctors do abortions no matter what they believe.
All of this needs to hit emails all over the country so that people have the opportunity to know.
You are correct. We do care and therefore we are the ones that need to spread the truth to everyone we know.
Why let the media control what the population hears. We have the internet, we have emails. We can at least make sure those articles showing the truth, are in the email box of all we know. They then still have access to the truth.
At church there are so many not on cable that only watch the nightly news. Their knowledge of the truth is what is gleamed from the networks and the papers.
We can become a pest by making sure their emails have the articles they will not be seeing.
Are we to read this as, "so it's business as usual"?
Given the incredible deterioration of Constitutional legitimacy of the Federal government so far and the unprecedented acceleration over the past months, to what degree will you oppose them and when do you start? Are you just willing to hold current ground and call it a day? Or does this opposition have some credible probability of re-affiliating us with the Constitution as read?

I’ll blame whoever is at fault. Obama is a total clown, that is obvious. and bush is half a clown. That is obvious too.
If you wanna stick your head in the republican sand and pretend the rinos are fine and dandy, go ahead. Don’t expect me to join you or pretend you are smart when you do.
Bush protected you for eight years (that protection is now gone). You had a choice of Bush or Gore, Bush or Kerry. Bush proclaimed he was a compassionate conservative. Then you judge him because he was not a conservative.
Now - Bush is gone and you have Obama - yet you continue to trash Bush. Bush is not running for anything. And Bush did try and stop the Fannie Mae mess but the Democrats prevented it. He tried again, and McCain tried - all failed.
But, that does not mean they were responsible for the Fannie Mae mess. That responsibility falls on Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd all Democrats.
Maybe if you had supported Bush when he was trying to get those bills pushed through - it might have been different.
He helped sink our economy. Just because I voted for him doesn’t mean he gets a pass.
Obama can be forced out, but ex-lax might help, too.
