This way, when a criminal decides to completely disregard those laws and, say, shoot up a church, he doesn't have to worry about anyone shooting back.
But that's not a useful defense when the offensive weapon is poison. ;-/
Wonder what the man's name was and if he survived so he can be tried and executed?
Prayers for the innocent victims. Having said that, Illinois is a gun grabber personal defense phobic State with Communist leaders in the government. I am sure none of the congregation had a snowball’s chance because they are law abiding with respect to the State’s ongoing program to make the population defenseless.
Amen. My husband and I switched churches due to a liberal takeover.
screw the gun laws...carry discreetly. We are not victims.
Joining in prayers for the pastor, his family, and the congregation.
Many churches need to beef up their security in these disturbing times.
Thinking it is a country church. Few men around with some pocket knives.
AT 5 PM TODAY, I WILL BE ARMED IN CHURCH!
If I see one of you little weasle legislators in my mega-church, I'll do everything in my power (with God's grace) to NOT spit in your eye or give you the ass whipping you deserve.
In this country, it’s okay to hate Christians, remember?
“We need to ban liberals from church, NOT GUNS.”
Hmm, why don’t you just go to a “conservative” church.
Witnesses report that the pastor was among those shot. Church Member Ashley Shank, interviewed by KSDK, was not in the church at the time of the shooting but she did talk to others who said the gunman was wearing a hoodie and pulled the weapon out of the hoodie.
Just before the shooting, the pastor had reportedly asked the gunman, who was standing in the aisle of the church, whether he or she needed help with anything.

Also was the problem of clicks.
My prayers and good wishes go out to the victims of this violence. Every church-going American needs to understand that this can happen anywhere to any denomination for any reason.
If we are prepared we shall not fear...
I am always discreetly armed even at Mass
Very close to my folks, maybe 30 miles. Scott AFB is nearby, so I wonder if there were any military or retired military in the congregation. Small farm town, maybe 4000 people.
We all need to be armed like the good old days. This would prevent so much crime.
