Seated in a chair beside the fireplace, Obama turned his attention to a 27-year-old with close-cropped hair among the aides perched on the office couch. His instructions were familiar.
"You and I always tell a story pretty well. I still want to make sure we do that here," Obama said, according to one participant.

I'm sure he brings a wealth of real world experience to help him tell Obama's "story".

Why don’t we just vote for the speech writer then? I mean, that’s all Obama’s got? With most politicians I say “why not just vote for their economic adviser?” but in this case Obama is basically Jim Jones with a teleprompter, so voting for his speechwriter is the most efficient move.
Ah, he’s only 27, not eligible. Well, we can’t go voting for people who aren’t eligible, can we?

Favreau, or "Favs" to his friends and co-workers, is the second-youngest person ever to work as chief White House speechwriter. Only James Fallows was youngerby a mere two monthswhen he started as Jimmy Carter's top speechwriter. Ironic....ain't it.......

No, let’s be honest. Barry thought he was hiring the Jon Favreau who wrote and co-starred in “Swingers” and by the time he figured out otherwise, he was stuck with the kid. Right?

The story in the press is that BHO writes his own speeches. When Sarah Palin hit it out of the park at the R Convention this summer, there were many an article about her speechwriter, that she was ‘ghosted’....

A real 'Edgar Bergen'. . .Favreau, that is. Which makes Obama. . .
oh well; don't we know. Wonder if Obama 'notes'; the first drafts of his speeches, will saved for his Library. ..
Never has a 'power suit' been so empty.

"I've never worked for a politician who values words as much as the president does," Obama senior adviser David Axelrod said. . . .
Favreau and Obama alike "think in terms of the cadence of the words," Axelrod added. "Not just the meaning of the words but the cadence of the words, how they work together, how they sound together."
Ah yes, words and cadence. All that's truly important to 0.

WoW! Where did you find that? Let me guess — his face book page — what a “F’n” genius. I’m sure the President’s Secretary of State will be proud!
I’m sure he will be looking for work tomorrow — oh that’s right, only if it were a Republican doing that would there be any outrage! That is awesome! Great post!
