I believe that Sen. Coburn is being set up by Obama. Obama is betting that once the Republicans see a man like Coburn hugging Obama, they will think it is safe to let their guard down and compromise.

Senator Coburn is being used by Obama, imho. Obama couldn’t give a toss about him. It is all show.

I would just as soon hug a rattlesnake myself. At least I would know where the fangs are.

“.....him hugging me and me hugging him......How better to influence somebody than love them.”

Ahem. Born and raised in Nebraska, I thought that public displays of......affection between males was frowned on by Okies. Apparently, things have changed in Oklahoma, or perhaps the voters of the state knew what was best for Coburn and got him the Hell out of OK. Ya’ never know, it might have saved his life!

I’ll stipulate to the possibility that the Senator is working through some “personal issues”, I just wish he wouldn’t do it out in public like that. What’s next, patting the Pres on the butt? Wouldn’t have done that even with full pads when I played football at Nebraska. We now live in a state that actually touches Oklahoma. Hmmm...must remember to have a talk with the kids. I think I need to go take a shower now.

G’night.

As an Oklahoman, I think your observation is correct and would expand it to say I think this is the first symptom of "Potomac fever" that seems to affect all politicians at some point in their service. We will know Coburn is fully under the spell of "Potomac fever" when he repeats this performance with Ted Kennedy.

He’s already been had by Obama.

Google: “Obama Knew He Wasn’t Eligible For POTUS”

The cabal of Obama, Clinton, Menendez, McCaskill, Leahy, Coburn and McCain covered up McCain’s INELIGIBILITY as well as Obama’s back in FEBRUARY 2008.

Traitors all.

If Coburn is allowing himself to be used, then he isn’t as bright as I thought he was.

Almost all pols are knuckleheads, crooks, or both.

“These men (in government), in point of fact, are seldom if ever moved by anything rationally describable as public spirit; there is actually no more public spirit among them than among so many burglars or street-walkers.”
