As you say, Sebelius would get the confirmation for the appointment anyway. So, Brownback had a bit of a tin ear and said “OK” to something he could not stop anyway. I wish he had played it better, but he is not a “traitor” in any sense of the word.
I never called him a traitor....Stupid would do, though. I am so weary of these Pubbies doing stupid, yes "STUPID" things.
All I know is that, in this state, the media has been successful in painting even some moderately conservative Republicans and “radicals” and they painted our former AG, Phil Kline, as a far right nut, which he did not deserve.
The MEDIA does THAT everywhere,....and for the Pubbies to NOT GET THAT!! Is infuriating...!! The DBM / MSM are NOT THE PUBBIES friends...EVER!
Brownback is aware of that. He votes correctly, when it counts, but he does make some of these empty PR moves from time to time that I wish he would not do.
I don't agree that he is aware...based on what he just did.....Brownback appears tone deaf. And NOT aware of who the enemy is...and how you deal with them.
It must help him, however, he is one of the most popular Republicans in the state.

Do you realize that Tiller is now being prosecuted, for violating Kansas abortion laws?
Do you realize that Governor Joan Finney, who signed that law, under which Tiller is now charged, was called a “Traitor” by Operation Rescue radicals?
Operation Rescue is often more concerned about circular firing squads and eating their own, rather than political victory. You spend far, far too much time taking shots at other prolifers.
Why would anyone WANT to work with your group? I have, and it is frustrating as hell. You are all over the map, as far as strategy is concerned, and you folks get far more worked up over another prolifer, who does not see eye to eye with you, than you ever seem to get with the REAL enemy!
Another hint? Operation Rescue supporters kept us from getting a Parental Consent Law, in Kansas. Right to Life of Kansas and ALL were on the SAME SIDE as George Tiller!
Brownback is NOT a traitor, you simply disagree with his tactics and strategy.
We will win the abortion fight, eventually, but not until people like you study other issues, and see how progress was made, on those other issues.
