Late night comedians have had a difficult problem. Presidents are usually the source of most late night joke, but comedians are having a hard time finding any material to make jokes about President Obama. This isn’t anything new, it was also true during the campaign.
Possibly they just need some help. Could you imagine if Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush had used a teleprompter to answer questions during a press conference? The late night joke writers wouldn’t have let it go until the President gave in to the merciless ridicule as he was painted as an idiot who couldn’t tie his shoes without being fed instructions on how to do it.
While people who watched Obama’s first national press conference noticed his use of a teleprompter to give his initial presentation as well as in answering questions, the media and late night joke writers completely ignored it. The American Spectator notes that in many events:
…down to many of the questions and the answers to those questions … [t]eleprompter screens at the events scrolled not only his opening remarks, but also statistics and information he could use to answer questions.
Apparently, Obama is looking to install a computer screen into the White House podiums so that, according to one Obama advisor, “It would make it easier for the comms guys to pass along information without being obvious about it.” [Emphasis added.] Obama’s aides would put together answers to a large number of possible questions so as soon as a reporter asks a particular question the computer screen could flash talking points to remind Obama how he’s supposed to respond to that question.

It’s simple. He doesn’t believe anything he says.
He needs the teleprompter so his keeper can tell him what to say.
Reminds me of the old Saturday Night Live skit - The President Can’t Read - where Charlton Heston was the president who needed his staff to read legislation for him and have him memorize his speeches because he was illiterate. Eventually one of his staffers got tired of doing this and sabotaged the illiterate president by having him give a press conference against a congressional bill he was holding that was really a menu from a Chinese restaurant.

Probably because most people had no idea that JFK was doing so. Remember, the "fairness doctrine" was in effect at that time, and there was no internet. So people had only the mainstream media to give them the "news". And we know on which side of the aisle the media resides.
Because he sold his soul to become POTUS and the only thing he can say orf any importance is what is on his teleprompter.
He has no other choice, they own him.
Because he can’t remember the lies he told yesterday.
The man, God help us, is just not very bright.

I’m reminded of the scene in Summer School where Chainsaw has a nightmare that he can’t remember anything. “How do you spell cat?” “I don’t know.” “What did you have for breakfast?” “I DON’T KNOW!”
Obama is teleprompter bound because he was run for president and now he is being run as the president. His handlers don’t want him leaving the script.
Obama is an actor. He needs a script because he is knowledgable at nothing.
He is merely an act for the democrat communists because they have managed to corral black people and white old ass democrats to buy his act.
All of them, black folks, and old white assed democrats, are going to get screwed.
They just have yet to figure it out. When they do...it will be too late.
No disagreement, but it’s all been said ad nauseum and I don’t see how continued beating of this horse benefits anyone. Guess I’m kinda being hypocritical myself cause here I am discussing it. I guess I don’t see what more can be said about it.

The democrats are still beating dead horse - Bush, and he left almost two months ago.
We will be putting up with this clown for almost four more years. We might as well let him know how he is doing every day.
Maybe he will wake up and realize what he is doing to black community is not good for the black community or for this country. There are going to be some extremely bitter people on both sides of the fence.
