MALMO, Sweden - Dozens of anti-Israel activists clashed with police Saturday as they tried to storm a closed arena where Sweden and Israel were playing a Davis Cup tennis match. The activists hurled rocks and firecrackers at police vans as they tried to break through the barricades set up to keep protesters from the arena. Hundreds of riot police pushed them back using truncheons.
There were no immediate reports of injuries. At least five people were detained, police spokesman Lars Hakan Lindholm said.
The clashes erupted after about 7,000 people gathered at a square in downtown Malmo to hear speeches condemning Israel's offensive in Gaza and urging support for Palestinians.

What a complete disgrace. And the Swedes, and their capitulation to the Muslim scum of Malmo, are equally to blame.
Malmo is a immigrant Muslim city, the natives are just about minorities there..
Talk about a cultural death wish!
But we have similar morons in out our government in a effort to destroy our culture too, so I can't be too hypocritical about it.
Insanity does seem to rule the day.
Being hit with rockets in Israel and screamed at by jihadists in Europe.
This is the mainstream media’s doing -— especially those in Europe.
Israel is always the whipping boy for the Islamists, and the Socialists in this country only encourage it further by pampering their apparent “favorite child” and demonizing Jews and Israel. (The very idea of giving huge amounts of money to Hamas seems to me to be insanity.) Hillary Clinton is on the same page as Barack Obama as far as I can see.
You got it. Euro/American liberals despise themselves (and western civilization) to the extent of working hard to bring about their own extermination.
Bush Jr. let in more Muslims than any other President. The Teleprompted will let in even more. Malmo is our future too.
Having the Davis Cup in Malmo makes as much sense as having it the South Bronx.
Yes, indeed. I’m surprised they held tennis matches with Israel in Malmo, rather than Stockholm. Perhaps someone wanted to make a point....
