Oh, come on. Give the guy more than a month. The organization clearly needs to be shaken up a bit. His resigning would do nothing but cost us another several months of bad media coverage.

Did you see his poition on guns?

Or how he wants the RNC to be more “hip-hop” like?

Or the many loony things he has said?

He is a disgrace.

And that is being kind.

Give the guy more than a month.

Yep. Let's give him more time to advance his agenda.

“Society should draw lines. What do you need an assault weapon for, if you’re going hunting? That’s overkill. But I don’t think that means you go to a total ban for those who want to use gun for skeet shooting or hunting or things like that” -Michael Steele

Who cares? Republicans are going to get attacked regardless. Steele is not capable of being the RNC Chairman.

"Oh, come on. Give the guy more than a month.

Obama supporters say the same exact thing, about Obama.

NO THANKS! Another RINO. No more, no more idiots who “misspeak”, who don’t have an original thought in their pea brain, who do not understand the Constitution and how this country was founded. Which reminds me FReepers:

We live in S. Central Texas. Today I had a very reliable fence man, landscaper, etc. to give me an estimate on a ranch/old style fence. He’s has outstanding business sense. We walked and talked of options, styles, details, etc. He’s from Zacatecas, Mexico, yes, he’s here LEGALLY. He speaks English very well, I also speak Spanish, we had a great time.

He is proud of this country, he reminded my wife and I about the principles that this country was founded on (we knew that but we dared not interrupt out of sheer delight). He was almost moved to tears at what a blessing this country and Texas has been to him and his family, he enumerated many blessings. This dear patriot could teach HS level of US history as well as economics (we discussed that too).

I will FIGHT for immigrants like Mr. Carrillo and I know you would too. Today my faith was greatly restored by this man’s testimony honoring his country, the USA not Mexico, he made that very clear. It will be a hard struggle (we all agreed) but it can be done. He’s been through worse. Just thought you’d enjoy reading of such a person.

Regards

Sorry but now is the time to stand on principle. YOU reflect the problem with the party. Do what the press will not attack us over. Sorry Steele broke the 11th commandment AND fell for a stupid plan cooked up by Carvelle and Begalia. If you cannot out think those two cousin F’ers you should not be the GOP Chairman; everything else aside.

What’s a few more months compared to the horrible media coverage of the past 40 years?

Of course, keeping him would result in another several months of bad media coverage before he's forced out... leading to another several *MORE* months of bad media coverage.

No options are good, but some are less bad than others. Jettisoning inept leadership early on will mean that by the time the 2010 elections come around, there might be a large war-chest of funding... decent candidates... and a conservative message.
