During the February 27th Tea Party Protest at the state capitol, there was much sentiment and agreement for another demonstration on April 15th.
That's a great day, symbolically, but would a demonstration on the weekend be better?
Your opinions please. It's time to organize!
We chose the 18th for Philadelphia because we figured that the productive would be producing on the 15th, and more would attend if they didn’t have to take a day off from work.
The downside to it is that the taxdayteaparty.com won’t list you if your party isn’t on the 15th.
I believe at this point, the more exposure that we can get all the better. We need to be seen more often than not. My hubby and I were there in Sacto....he was able to take time off work, but he can’t do that all of the time.
Maybe, we can have it on the 15th and the 18th for the people that can’t make it during the week. The people that work at the Capitol Building are the ones that have to walk around us holding the signs and the people driving in the downtown area will see us, but on the week-end where will they all be? It might be a good idea to set up a ‘Tea Party’ on the 18th in another place other than the Capitol Building that will get plenty of exposure.
We can always get other media/internet sites to announce it I’m sure. taxdayteaparty.com is not the only source, is it? This time we’ll have more time on our side going for us.
We’re already thinking up material for some potent ‘Tea Party’ signs
Even a small evening event, on the 15th, outside the Main Post Office could be effective in drawing more folks to a Saturday Event.
Last minute filers tend to be PAYING!

I’m in!
How the heck did I miss Sacramento!
My Bad!
What a country!!! What a mess the Communutty Organizer is dumping it into!!! Just like Castro did to Cuba!!!
Thanks.....Good idea. If we can get enough concerned people brain-storming, we can do it up good....”Yes, We Can!!”
As an employed person (trying to stay that way) I would vote for the 18th so I could participate.
NATIONWIDE TAX DAY TEA PARTY 4/15/2009.
We currently have 24 fully confirmed cities for the Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party. As of today, another 40 are organizing and we believe we'll be at 100 by the end of next week.
The "Tea Party Revolution", as we like to call it, is gaining significant ground and we share the opinion that we're seeing the beginning of a completely new movement unfold.
Like you, tens of thousands of Americans are beginning to realize that the current administration, Congress included, is spiraling out of control. And even worse, this government has boldly declared all out war on the free-market foundation that our country was built on.
The DontGo Movement, along with our Tax Day Tea Party co-sponsors Michelle Malkin, Dana Loesch, Smart Girl Politics and Top Conservatives on Twitter, is working on building a true grassroots coalition that can organize and activate Americans on a local level to become politically involved.

Anyone have a giant stuffed pig?
Let's hang it in effigy over the Sacramento River in front of the capitol building.
I'll look for it!
I think it should look like it is stuffed with money.
Maybe some one can print up a few dozen dollar bills we can have leaking out of it.
OH Syncro! That would be really cool. I think we could carry the pig from the capitol and “lynch” it over the river. (Maybe a “PORKULUS” sign hanging from it’s poor carcass?) The other groups I’ve been in touch with LOVE the idea.
It’s around here somewhere...
18th way better; I would have loved to be there in February but it was a weekday & my job is 1/2 away & also we had layoffs & now my workload is increased...
Thanks!
