A better president than actor, IMO.

May have just been how those movies were in those days

Heh. Loved the scene on the airplane where the pilot pulled a lever and he dumped all the illegal aliens out of the plane.

I can't see him without thinking about "20 Mule Team Borax".

Whatever happened to that detergent?

And where in the hell did my youth wander off to?

Thanks for the heads up. I set my DVR to record them all. Except for the one that’s on right now since it’s almost over.

What movie is that?

Beats my idea of using the catapult in History of the World Part II - although it would do in a pinch.

I just bought a box from Walmart. It's not really a detergent. It supplements your detergent. It's great for getting tough grease or oil out of your clothes. It also kills roaches if you put it behind your appliances. And it's a great chemical shim for nuclear reactors.

The first one, Secret Service of the Air. The pilot pulled a lever and the entire floor in the back of the plane opened up and dumped everybody out.

Reagan was in a very good movie called “The Hasty Heart” It was never really popular but generally got good reviews. About a Scottish soldier who is dying but doesn’t know it. His hospital mates know but won’t tell him.

As I’ve had the chance to see more of his movies, I’ve found he’s quite good — my favorite so far is THE VOICE OF THE TURTLE (also called ONE FOR THE BOOK) in which he’s very charming and romantic. That one airs on TCM March 18th.

My dad recently saw this on DVD and thought it was superb.

He also recommended THE WINNING TEAM and STORM WARNING, which I haven’t had the chance to watch yet.

Anyone Tape The First Night of TCM Star of the Month Ronald Reagan 3/4/09

If anyone taped the first night of Ronald Reagan’s Star of the Month I would like copies. I am looking for the full showing starting from 8:00pm 3/4 and ending around noon at 3/5. Please email me at kasumii_kenshirou@yahoo.com if you can help.

I was able to tape the rest of the TCM Star of the Month nights for Ronald Reagan in full (films had hosted trivia up to 2:00am). I still have some of the first night only in bad quality because of the failure of my last recorder during the taping from 8:00pm to 10:30am the following day. If anyone has the 3/4/09 night taped either partially or in full I can trade the other nights. Patti Davis joined the TCM host on the last two night’s movies:
