But it was accurate, I’d read it before. The RINO party will have to go the way of the whigs or straighten up and fly right. Iv’e voted for my last RINO. If I have no other choice than to choose between a liberal (RINO) and a marxist socialist (Democrat) I’ll just stay home.

Specter, Snowe, Collins, Schwarzenegger, and Christy Todd Whitman, to name a few are RINOS. All of them have been ardently Pro-choice and Liberal on social issues throughout their adulthoods and life long careers, and most on fiscal issues as well. They have voted thusly in the Senate, and Schwarzenegger has acted thusly as Governor. The same, btw, cannot be claimed about Governor Romney regardless of what he SAID when running for Governor of Massachusettes.

Romney has not been in politics most of his adult life ardently advocating for choice nor do we have any evidence that throughout his adulthood, while in the private sector, he was a member of a pro-choice organization, nor has he ever advocated same-sex marriage. Furthermore, as an elder in his church, during his private sector career he counseled women against abortion. I am more inclined to take sincerely, the pro-life and conservative conversion of such a person, and believe not only is it a huge mistake to lump him in with the likes of those above, it is a gross mischaracterization and a great injustice.

I did some volunteer work for a staunch conservative who ran against Arlen Specter years ago. My brother worked on his staff and we both sacrificed greatly for that effort and understand how difficult such RINOS are to defeat. Like you, I do not intend to vote for a RINO like candidate again.
