The lawsuit -- filed in Boston by the group Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) on behalf of several homosexual "couples" and three individuals -- asks a federal judge to declare unconstitutional portions of the measure which places the traditional view of marriage into law.

These folks are relentless and they have some incredibly smart lawyers and legal strategists in their ranks. The only thing that will stop them from imposing gay marriage on the nation is a Federal Constitutional Amendment. DOMA will fall sooner or later as a statute. And we can all guess where the 9th Circuit will go with Proposition 8, if the CA Supreme Ct doesn’t go there first. In the meantime, Obama will probably have at least one opportunity to choose a new Justice for SCOTUS.
Unless there is a Federal Constitutional Amendment prohibiting same sex marriage- it’s only a matter of time.
