Top Democrats believe they have struck political gold by depicting Rush Limbaugh as the new face of the Republican Party, a full-scale effort first hatched by some of the most familiar names in politics and now being guided in part from inside the White House.
The strategy took shape after Democratic strategists Stanley Greenberg and James Carville included Limbaugh’s name in an October poll and learned their longtime tormentor was deeply unpopular with many Americans, especially younger voters. Then the conservative talk-radio host emerged as an unapologetic critic of Barack Obama shortly before his inauguration, when even many Republicans were showering him with praise.

In the grand scheme of things, Rush will be proven right. One day, when historians are looking back wondering why America threw it all away, Rush will be seen as a voice of truth and reason that was ignored.
This is what Chavez and Stalin and so many other have done to consolidate power; intimidate anyone in the media with an opposing view. Obama is turning out to be quite the thug.
Scary. During an economic recession, ObamaCarter, the king of the misery index, is sending out his attack dogs to destroy anyone that disagrees with his Socialist agenda. Are only liberals allowed to dissent from government policy?

Given the abysmal track record of the GOP “leaders”, the best thing they could do is to have Rush as lead.

Rahm Emmaneul is the culprit behind everything. He started the process in 2006 and now he wants to get rid of the last real conservative. Why republicans are not good in taking out people? If they do so, they should first target Rahm Emmaneul.
I knew something was up back in January when several DNC insiders and some Obama volunteers said the same thing to me...”I know several University students that were brainwashed as children listening to Rush Limbaugh in their parent’s car. Now they are big supporters for Obama and they hate Republicans.” These were all unrelated people telling me the same thing with the code words “brainwashed by Rush Limbaugh.” We need to expose these creeps with some really funny stuff.
This is war. Very uneven and unfair war. One side has a microphone and 20,000,000 listeners. The other side has police, prosecutors, jail and fines, plus a media that backs it up and defends it no matter what law it breaks.

Rush will not be intimidated. They know that. In fact, they want Rush around. All dictators need a bogeyman to stay in power. 0bama’s propaganda machine (the msm) is trying to make Rush their bogeyman, and paint the GOP as his minions.

I have personally made a point to atleast indoctrinate 3 or 4 kids who are 5 years old to start listening to Rush Limbaugh. Did you check the information in the article on the polling data? I want to make sure that 5 years from now, Rush should have 30 million audience and I am sure, paul Begala and James carville will still release polls talking about the waning influence of Rush
What are you talking about. Talk radio was what derailed the Clinton presidency in 1994. And unlike the Bourbons, the Democrats remember it and have learned from it.

I predict this will backfire on them. Rush will expose them for what they are - communists over reaching their office of power. All of this will also cause more people to listen to Rush and voila! they will understand that he is right (99.8% of the the time).
The dems have a way of over playing their cards. They think they are invincible now. But if they keep over reaching, they could hurt the democratic party for many years. I still believe that most Americans are conservative, they just don’t know it.
