‘I’m Maureen Dowd, and I’ve Been Had’ (Suporters of Obama disappointed)
Pajama Media ^ | March 4, 2009 | Jennifer Rubin

They may need a support group before the month is out. They could gather in New York or Washington where many victims reside. The meetings would start: “I’m Maureen [or David]. I’m a duped Barack voter. And I’m mad.”

The ranks indeed are filling with the disaffected and the disappointed — Chris Buckley, Maureen Dowd, David Brooks, David Gergen, and even that gynecological sleuth and blogger Andrew Sullivan. And then there is the very angry Marty Peretz. Their complaints are varied but expressed with equal amounts of remorse and bitterness. They all have been done wrong by Barack.

To be honest I gave the guy a look very early on and all I needed was one news article to tell me O was a shame wow type hack. You could see this coming a mile away. The idiots should have known better than to get sucked it by pretty words. I have no sympathy for them at all. When they turn their back on Gov. Palin there was no turning back for them. They deserve everything that is coming to them ie emails, comments etc.

Many of my fellow Libertarians voted for the guy. I tried to warn them, but to no avail. Now they are starting to see.

Libertarians and conservatives need to stop the bickering and unite. We both agree with the concept of limited, constitutional government and state rights.Us Libertarians voted for Reagan and the 1994 congress.

Let the battle begin. I am willing to fight. The American people know we are right. We just need to articulate it for them

Instinctively, the American people know this stuff isn't good but they somehow believe this guy deserves a chance. A chance to do what? Dismantle the free enterprise system?

I would say about 54,000,000 were duped by the marxist candidate now occupying the office of President....

Naw, 3-40% of those people are hard core America haters, and knew EXACTLY what they were voting for. Thing is that many of them are cowards, and will feign shock once they see that the tide has turned against the messiah; hiding their true colors.

Has the Kool-Aid been diluted?

Nah, the flavor has been changed from JFK to Carter.

“But having a first-class temperament and a first-class intellect, President Obama will (I pray, secularly) surely understand that traditional left-politics aren’t going to get us out of this pit we’ve dug for ourselves. If he raises taxes and throws up tariff walls and opens the coffers of the DNC to bribe-money from the special interest groups against whom he has (somewhat disingenuously) railed during the campaign trail, then he will almost certainly reap a whirlwind that will make Katrina look like a balmy summer zephyr.” — Christopher Buckley, worthless moron.

Pray tell us why your “fellow Libertarians voted for the guy”. Simply to be contrary?

We also have to adjust our views to reality. The notion that financial markets are self-regulating is a failure. We have to realize there is a role for government in regulating Wall Street, banks and derivatives. If we continue to deny such, we will NEVER gain the trust of American voters, and for good reason.

What we need to push is for government to be a good referee, not a redistributor of wealth.

They really thought he would be a centrist.

I tried to warn others, but unsuccessfully. Some now come up to me and ask,”how did you know?”

My reply is simple. How did you NOT know???

Many in the media seem to be considering asking for a refund on their kneepads.

'Too late smart' just means than now they will really need them. . .

The hardcore at my office still believe, but are getting testy. I asked one about the Dow meltdown the other day and he instantly raged back “So you’re going to attack my guy now?”. Whoa, pal. Calm down.

One of these days, one of the reporters is going to get up off it and do some investigative reporting and get their hands on information that will prove up the birth place as Kenya. Could be why the records at Occidental and Columbia are sealed if he filled in a “place of birth” blank on the admission application.

One of these days one of these people will get angry enough at being duped to do something about it...

That’s my hope.
