Hillary’s Grotesque Elian Gonzalez Analogy

Is Hillary Clinton still feeling defensive about the decision her husband made, and she supported, to return Elian Gonzalez to Cuba? Why else would she make a grotesque analogy between that case and the situation of a boy being kept in Brazil against the wishes of his American father?

The Today show highlighted the case this morning of Bruce Goldman and his biological son, Sean. The boy’s mother, then Goldman’s wife, took Sean to her native Brazil in 2004. She divorced Goldman, married another man, then died. The second husband refuses to return Sean to Goldman.

Andrea Mitchell interviewed Clinton, who is working for Sean’s return, about the case. In the course of their conversation, Clinton, without prompting, suddenly raised the Gonzalez situation . . .

Right afterward, he came on TV and tried to defend his actions.

Just a recap for those too young to remember:

The full force of our Nation's police power, under the direction of the Attorney General and POTUS, was used to take a small boy from a loving family at the point of a gun (literally not figuratively) so as to return him to a Communist dictatorship. His mother had already lost her life trying to get her son free of Cuban oppression.

As far as I can recall, Elian Gonzales is the only illegal alien (not really - he should've been granted political asylum) that our government has been interested in deporting.

If he was old enough to pick lettuce they probably would have let him stay.

Boy this brings up bad memories. That poor child is lost.

Stupid of Hillary to bring this up.

I’d like to see some JBT’s come and get Hillary
in the middle of the night and hijack her a$$
to Koober.

She’d be more at home there.

“get Hillary in the middle of the night and hijack her a$$
to Koober.”

The idea was reportedly considered and rejected: no sufficiently wide transport plane could be identified.

The picture you posted is the one that was preferred at the time by the Democrat newsrooms. They had no choice but to pick ONE image to publish and, of course, decided on the one slightly less damaging to the Sinkmeister. Below is the better one for your archives. Notice the subtle differences: The image below more clearly shows the screaming brownshirt and the true terror on the boy's face:

Don't forget the part where the boy's mother died by drowning in her successful effort to get her son to America. And also don't forget to mention the lawyer who worked on behalf of Castro and used his White House connections to have the brownshirts sent to abduct Elian Gonzales so he could be spirited back to Cuba. His name was Greg Craig, and he was recently chosen by Obama to be his White House Counsel.
