It may come as a surprise that US companies pay the highest taxes in the world. Yes, you read that right. American businesses, large and small and across all industries pay from 35% to 41.6% of their income in combined state and federal taxes. The 41.6% maximum rate is scheduled to rise to 46.2% in 2010 when President Obama's promised tax increases are implemented. Compare that to socialist France where companies pay only 34.4% in taxes, to China where the rate is 25%, or Russia which levies a mere 24%. Corporations in Ireland, Europe's fastest growing economy for the last 18 years, pay just 12.5% in taxes.
Because of its dual taxation system, US businesses and individuals are required to pay both state and federal taxes on their income. When combined both these taxes range from a minimum of 35% in states like Nevada, South Dakota, and Wyoming that do not tax business income, to a maximum of 41.6% in Iowa, the state with the highest corporate tax rate of 12%.

Forbes' Tax Misery Index.
The most benevolent nation the world has ever known is the United States.
We use more energy than anyone else, which is something many criticize us for. But that energy is used to produce goods for the remainder of the world, and very, very often those goods are given away for free!
So, when we consider that COMMUNIST Chinese companies pay only 25% in taxes, and COMMUNIST (YES THEY ARE, TOO!)Russia 24%, while American companies will pay 46% (!!), . . .
STOP AND THINK A MINUTE . . . .
Hasn't the international communist movement already defeated us? Haven't they already gotten their way?
We are using more energy than anyone else, have higher productivity than anyone else, paying higher taxes than anyone else, defending everyone else, . . .and giving more away to the rest of the world FOR FREE than anyone else.
Frankly, I'm sick and tired of being the butt of the communists’ big joke! And I have had it up to my neck already with our Communist president. And I am sick of being mister nice guy.
Corporations pay no taxes.
Only people pay taxes....all taxes are passed on to consumers as higher prices for all goods.
Corporate taxation is just one of the many ways to fool a gullible public into thinking that they pay less tax than they actually do.
Tax withholding from workers paychecks and the myth of employers paying half of your social security taxes are two other ways of fooling the gullible.
Other tricks are called license fees, usage fees..etc.
For example...there is no reason the have to purchase license plates for a car...cars could have identifying numbers affixed at assembly and the linking of an owner to the car would involve a simple clerical change....but states have turned the license plate scam into a huge tax bonanza. There are so many tax scams of this sort that it would fill a huge book if you were to list them all.
And get ready for about 50% more of them to flee to other countries.
Correction: "Only the LITTLE people pay taxes" - Leonna Helmsley
These are tax rates, but I would be interested in the relative tax rates, after deductions. May look a little different......just asking.
Totally agree — and they’re getting more deceptive all the time. For instance, this cap-and-trade pollution credit idea of Obama’s is yet another massive tax.
The true tax burden is really total government spending divided by GDP. That tells you the real tax burden — the real percentage government takes out of the economy, or out of all of us, through multiple means.
