Presidents are the issuer of such. He really has no boss in many day-to-day situations. Never was there a King, Czar, Emperor, Generalissimo, Ceasar or Queen so powerful as a modern U.S. president. Congress can cut funding or impeach him and the electorate can vote him out at the end of his term, but those are really the only checks on his power. All the things the rabid left accused President Bush of are about to be realized by this man.

The General means that if Obama were applying for a job that he wouldn’t have been qualified, but being elected President of the United States make that person above all that.

There isn’t a clerk somewhere that can decide who gets to be president. For one thing the president doesn’t even fill out an application or even apply for a security clearance from those clerks, the people elect the civilian Commander in Chief.

Security clearances come from the Executive branch, which is headed up by the President. However, there is still "need to know." No matter what your clearance, if you don't have a viable need to know, you're kept out, period. People with access to classified information are obligated, under penalty of law and risk of imprisonment, to not reveal classified information to anyone without a need to know. You can literally tell anyone, regardless of rank or position "You are not cleared for X, you have no need to know." and that is the end of the conversation. I wonder if anyone has ever told that to a President?

The odd thing is, based on what came out about Obama in the campaign - some mis-information on a previous application/document, association with known radicals and domestic terrorists advocating the overthrow of the government, lack of any relevant experience for the job... My wife noted that someone with that kind of record wouldn't, heck couldn't, be hired even as a janitor at the High School where she works. Too much liability for the school administration if he screwed up around the kids. The theater of the absurd just keeps rolling along...

In an odd quirk of fate, the president gets to decide who gets them and who does not around him. For instance it is entirely possible that all Obama has to do is say “get Ayers total access and clearance to whatever he wants because I need him to know whatever I have questions on” and Ayers would be granted total access to anything Obama needed to know.

That having been said the lowest security clearance in the military requires all sorts of official records starting with your a certified original copy of your birth certificate.

I suspect that they were, and still are, BFFs; and I would like to what all communication there has been (through however many intermediaries) between the two of them.

How about this for a wild notion...

One last tax idea...How long do you think, after the boob has taxed all our income and dividends etc that he has his thugs start to make unannounced visits to inventory the contents of our homes...tax any valuable paintings, rugs, jewelry, etc..and if we can't pay it they steal it for the National Treasury? Think that can't happen? That sort of tax on personal property happened in my state when I was a kid..I recall my mom telling me not to open the door..the tax people were coming around to see if we had silver ware, the TV and so on to tax and she was going to give them a fight..what we had we already paid tax on and would pay no more..that changed eventually..and home invasions for tax assessors stopped.
