And here's a list that you might find useful. It is OpenSecrets.org's list of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's campaign recipients.
I had always wondered -- if Democrats were the only recipients of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, why weren't Republicans screaming their heads off about it?
The answer is that while Democrats were the primary campaign recipients with 57% of the total FM/FM contributions, 43% of Republicans also lined up at the FM/FM trough. Perhaps this helps explain so many crossover votes for the social programs that eventually sunk us.

I absolutely agree. ACORN should be abolished and all of its officers should be put on trial for Treason. And anything else they have done that is illegal.
ACORN is just about as horrible an organization as any I can think of, the damage it has done to so many is hard to calculate.
Thanks for the info, I think I have a reference to that very page you are speaking of, its in the essay itself about the area where I mention Chris Dodd and the fact he is the chairman of the committee (Senate Finance committee) that killed the bill that might have prevented this nightmare.
