Sal Ballarino, an appointee to the Staten Island the Education Department, sent out a popular liberal email containing photos of John McCain and Barack Obama at a debate with cartoon balloons above their heads where McCain says horrible racist things. At about the point that the NAACP got involved ol’ Sal seemed to lose his party affiliation. Since the cartoon paints the Republican candidate as a bitter racist crank I assume Ballarino is a Democrat.

That's what they did to Gary Condit, based on the (erroneous) assumption that he was a murderer.

Don’t know his party but he’s a business owner. Even stories involving him from a few years ago do not list a party affiliation. If it’s the same guy, he also shows up on a Friends of the NRA page as a contact for a fundraiser.
And if he is a Democrat, he’s certainly no Obama supporter.

The guy who appointed him belongs to New York’s Conservative Party. I’d guess Ballarino is no Democrat.
