LOL :)
I might have made myself clear, but what is the difference between a 'conservative' (like Mike Hucklebee) telling you what to eat (no trans fat) or a liberal telling you it. I don't care who is telling what anyone should do. I am going to say I'm sorry because I didn't say what I wanted to say correctly. Sorry.
I used to like Alan Keyes. He has some good things but I guess he lost my respect when he ran for Senate. I might have to check something and if I’m wrong I’ll make a statement, but I’ve heard he never lived in Illinois. If I’m wrong, I’ll apologize on here.
How is that different from parents choking their child? Or murder in general?
If you are so concerned about the Founding Father's intention: the Declaration of Indepedence says that LIFE is a god-given right!
Also regarding your jab at "bible thumpers", let me quote Founding Father John Adams:
"Our constitution was made for a moral and religious people; it is wholly inadequate for any other."
I get what you mean, but I don’t know anyone on FR or a conservative who cares if their neighbor is gay, a smoker, nor have I heard anyone here support a control on what people eat.
"Our constitution was made for a moral and religious people; it is wholly inadequate for any other." I do like that statement. I was wrong when I wrote 'BIBLE THUMPERS' it was uncalled for. I guess I'm not a socially conservative as some of you, but I didn't mean to sound like a jerk. I'm against ABORTION, but on the issue of homosexual rights - I believe they should have the right to inherit property and to adopt (older kids), but as someone who knows about social work (girlfriend is a social worker for abused kids), I can see that some gays are religious (know 4 couples from my church).
I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I know I offended 'Roses of Sharon', but I didn't mean to. I believe we have a BIGGER issue and that is to elect CONSERVATIVES in 2010 and elect Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal (my choice) in 2012. I don't want any RINOs!!
I'm sorry if I offended you, I didn't mean it the way it came out.
Now, I wonder why the Illinois GOP didn't have anyone to lead? Why did they go out of state - even Mike Ditka lives in Florida - that party needs some serious rebuilding, it seems like.
Now I'll be looking at the America's Indepence Party with open eyes. Sorry, my mistake on Alan Keys
I think most here think he is a funny guy, but I am unaware of anyone who supported him for Pres.
I would imagine that a majority of Republicans/Conservatives know he tends to lean left towards big government ideas.
If I remember correctly, Fred Thompson and Duncan were FR’s favorites.
Hopefully the next primary will offer some good choices.
If it happens then the country is finished so it won’t be a problem for you and me either as to who is President. And if Palin doesn’t take a stand on the issue while the battle is ongoing, I wouldn’t vote for her to be dog catcher.
I'd love to see a ticket of Sarah and Bobby. I just hope we can get rid of the RINOs by 2012.
Have the same list as you do, but am hesitant on Palin.
Amnesty, a hatred of the “idea thing,” and ignorance of much of the world outside of Alaska (which contributes to her views on Amnesty, btw), make me highly skeptical of “Palin 2012.”
I share your reservations.
The wannabes at “Rebuild the Party” had a “Party with Pawlenty” event at CPAC last week.
For starters, the RtP guy is the biggest kiss-butt n Republican politics and Pawlenty stood in the corner with a revolving one guy jawing him all night. There was no enthusiasm and no long line of people looking for photo ops. Pawlenty was a snore and their party was a bomb.
I’m bored thinking about it.
Palin needs to back off the populist crap too. I cringed when during the VP debate she was attacking
Wall Street and the oil companies. There is nothing wrong with working on Wall Street or being in the
energy business.
Agree.
