Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed yet another termed-out lawmaker to a six-figure post in state government, his sixth such appointment in the past three months.
The latest appointee, former GOP Assemblywoman Sharon Runner of Lancaster, will earn $128,109 as a member of the Agricultural Labor Relations Board, which meets publicly twice a month.

Part of Arnold’s election promises was the elimination of this type of worthless Boards. Sheesh — what a loser!

I wonder how many votes she had to trade for this appointment.

$128,109?-Meets twice a month? WTF is going on here? and it's not just California...these effing politicians have got to be taught a lesson by somebody since it's obvious that California voters are too stupid or ignorant to do it. I'm becoming more and more radicalized and am starting to think thoughts that would have concerned me a few years ago and I don't think I'm alone.

It’ll be a very big turn out, lots of angry people and a whole lot of media will be covering this event.

This just goes on and on. His appointments are absolutely awful. I really believe that he just doesn't care, is trying to stick a finger into the eyes of Republicans, or is just plain stupid as hell. Or he is some combination of the above.
I never thought I'd say this but I long for the days of Gray Davis. At least with Davis there was no pretending he was anything but a lefty.
My dislike of Arnold is morphing into absolute disdain. I can't stand the POS.

I wonder how many votes she had to trade for this appointment. Her hubby George (the Boss Hogg of the Antelope Valley) was just made Senate Minority leader and has announced for the Board of Equalization. I suspect that this an Arnold contribution to help him out.
Both George and Sharon have always been deep in the prison guards' political pockets, swapping pay raises for campaign contributions.

Thought Arnold had imposed a hiring freeze on state employees Plus layoffs and unpaid furloughs. You see, Arnold has a plan - cut the meat to save the fat.

This nation's politicians are no better than the worst in the banana republics...
At least in the banana republics there are occasionally violent circumstances ending their political careers.
Unfortunately, we've become to civilized to utilize that corrective approach.....
