“This law has failed our country and our military for 15 years,” Tauscher said at a news conference. “It harms military readiness and discriminates against patriotic young men and women who want to serve their country.

One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction.

I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share.

Sincerly, Mitt Romney

The RINO party doesn't get it. Move the goal post left is their motto. That's how we got zer0.

The way it is worded is so dumb! Don’t ask don’t tell does not keep gays from joining the military and serving their country. It only says they can not openly display that they are gay. Just as others in the service do not openly display that they are not gay.
