I set my email to send the message every 15 minutes for the next two days. I agree we have to win this fight right now if we are to have a chance in 2010 or 2012.
The in-name-only voters exist, though. How else do you explain Maine (Collins & Snowe)? What are we going to do about those voters?
Well now..that is an idea...lol (every 15 minutes).
Rush did as much harm to the Republican Party with his operation chaos as anyone. Our Party has always stood for the fact that we do not get involved in the primaries of the Dems even though they got involved in ours.
Rush put the Republican Party right smack in the middle of the Dem primary encouraging people to reregister as Dems which through off the numbers and was an opening for voter fraud.
I talked to Democrats that were furious at Limbaugh for Operation Chaos that helped get us Obama and drug out their primary to the stage that it went right into their Convention. If it had been over sooner, there would have been more time to bring up legitimate concerns about ZERO. These were Dems that did not want ZERO but ZERO’s campaign used it that the Operation Chaos voters were trying to stop Obama, etc.
Rush does not speak for me and never will when it comes to politics because his late to the Party in supporting our candidates in 2008 did not help since some voters took the cue from him not to support the team 100%.
After the two days are up, I plan on setting it to every 10 minutes.
I don’t thinkS teele knows what the hell he’s doing.
He won’t last in that position until the next election.
We need an RNC Chairman who is tough and aggressive.
Mike is too nicey-nice, esp. when chillin’ with the bro’s, like Hughley.
I can’t remember who it was, but somebody (probably Maneesh) fielded an idea some time ago that what we should all do is find a couple of conservatives that we are willing to support and adopt them, put our money where our mouths are, so to speak. I fully endorse it. I think the time has come to practise it. I’m in MN. I cannot and will not be inspired to support Pawlenty. I’m supporting that O’Donnell woman from Delaware. She will get my money. I’ll find one other.
So, your tactic is to call anyone who might disagree with you a troll, or a moron. I can play that game too, Rinoceros.
You might want to go back and read a few of my posts over the years. True conservative - through and through.
Btw: you didn't answer my question, who did you support in the primaries?
Rutt Roh...LOL!
False. There is not a ton of good conservatives from which to choose. That is why we can all name them. It’s always the same group - Mike Pence, Rick Santorum, Tom Delay, .....
“I talked to Democrats that were furious at Limbaugh for Operation Chaos that helped get us Obama”
How could Operation chaos have helped Obama? Operation Chaos was about keeping Hillary in the fight against Obama!
Frankly, I don’t think Rush’s Operation Chaos had the overall effect that you describe, but I’ll acknowlege that’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it.
But as for the republicans.......spit! I am SO SICK of their feckless dithering, their constant reaching across the aisle to shake hands with the devil-donks, their lack of anything remotely resembling unity of principles.
I agree with Limbaugh’s conservative principles. If Steele is going to be just one more conservative-bashing (remember Reagan’s 11th commandment?), camera-loving-but-media-cowed RNC figurehead then Steele and the RNC can go straight to hell.
That wedge has been there for about 8 years now. You need to get up to speed.
This may seem funny to some, but the Conservative Party already exists in the State of New York. IIRC, James Buckley was elected to the United States Senate in New York as a conservative. Up until a few months ago, I honestly thought that every state had a Conservative Party and ran conservative candidates on the Conservative Party line.
What is obvious to many is that the time has come to dump the GOP. The question then becomes, why not go national with the "Conservative Party of the United States of America?"
...I’ve been out of it for a few days...what exactly did Steele say that’s created such an uproar?
Call back and ask why Steele failed to tell them that it was the GOP that has always been a friend to blacks, that Woodrow Wilson was elected to the Presidency in 1912 and fired all blacks from all federal positions in 1913, that Nixon institued Affirmative Action to keep that from happening again, etc.. Ask why he didn’t ask those 2 clowns what the Democrat party has EVER done for blacks - from their hero John Kennedy voting against the Civil Rights Act of 1958 to their other hero Robert Kennedy bugging the home of a private American citizen at a time when the country was not at war.
Steele could’ve said any no. of things, but he chose to pull a McCain and chastise us. It ought to work out for him exactly as it did for McCain.
I agree with Limbaughs conservative principles. If Steele is going to be just one more conservative-bashing (remember Reagans 11th commandment?), camera-loving-but-media-cowed RNC figurehead then Steele and the RNC can go straight to hell.

AMEN!
That would be better phrased: Could somebody please tell me what Steele said?
I rather like the extended name: The Conservative Party of the United States of America—CPUSA. Yeah, that works well for me. There is nothing ‘Grand’ about the Grand Old Party these days. It’s beleaguered by RINOs, and frankly, does not reflect the core beliefs of most conservatives. In short, we’re conservative and it is not.
I think that it’s time to leave behind what no longer works and what has been defined by Democrats and RINOS. We need to embrace a name that defines us and our beliefs. We are conservatives and we are in the United States of America.
What did Steele say about Rush?
