No, they love Republicans like McCain,Steele,Lugar, the two idiotic women from Maine. As their ilk help them pass socialist agenda bills in Congress.

I don’t know about Blackwell.

I though you were referring to Steele as opposed to “the racist country club guy”< and it was to Steele that I was referring.

Steele, via his support of Affirmative Action, is clearly a racist.

The problem is the Dems will never allow it AND they seem to have a locked in 43% minimum which guarantees they win three way races if they didn't just strangle the new party in its political crib.

You are assuming, of course, that a Republican party would still exist.

If the base of CONSERVATIVES moved to that party, the Republicans would turn into a joke.

It wouldn't be long until it was back to a two-party system with Conservatives v. democraps.

And, I'm pretty sure we could beat 43% heads-up.

If abloishing the Republican Party involves swirling it inside a toilet bowl, then I agree!

You have a point. This would all have to occur within one election cycle otherwise the elected Dems and repubs wll change the laws to ensure it doesn't happen. It would have to be that quick.

Clearly, I’m on Rush’s side on the whole flap, but I don’t want a wedge driven between the conservative base and the GOP. That just ensures Democrat victories.

Clearly on his side? ROFL Is that why you rip him whenever you see an opportunity? Your comments are as worthless as those of Steele's. Rush speaks the truth. Rush stands on principles. Rush does what limp-wristed, wimpy republicans won't - he stands up for himself and what he believes - CONSERVATISM. Yet, you say Rush is playing right into Rahm and Obama's hands? What an idiot! Acting like a scared rabbit (i.e., STEELE) is what Rahm and Obama want. Do you really think they want conservatives standing up and speaking the truth like Rush is doing? Give me a freakin' break.

Well, you are not alone. I just emailed Mr. Steele and told his staff that are hanging up on people that I’m done and to never send me another beg letter. I instructed them to remove me from their database. I’m no longer a Republican. I’m moving to the letter (I) for CONSERVATIVE!

I like the Falcon Party’s platform, but the website is rarely updated. The last update is Nov 16, 2008.

Is this party still viable?

A review of my posts going back many, many months will reveal that I have never been in favor of Michael Steele to be the chairman of the Republican National Committee.

My lack of enthusiasm for the man comes not because of personal deficiencies on his part but for the absence of charisma and drive needed for the man who will be a greatly responsible for saving the Republican Party. By default, the chairman of the Republican national committee becomes the spokesman of Republicanism when we have no other national voice. Anyone who is the spokesman sets policy. I think Rush is wrong when he says that Steele's job is not to set policy. That role under these circumstances is virtually unavoidable for anyone who holds the office and is able to sit up and take nourishment. Any man with charisma, and I say a lesser man will not do, cannot help himself, he must set policy.

Therefore it is critical that we have the right man in the post. As I said in many previous posts on Free Republic we need a man with charisma, a bomb thrower, a man of Churchillian drive. I have long advocated Newt Gingrich for the post but the party selected Michael Steele as a counterpoint to a black president. Steele ran on a platform that he could broaden the outreach to the black and Hispanic voters.

The irony is that that is exactly what he was doing when he made his gaffe. He saw his audience as the black community and was trying to shape the Republican image in a way that was more acceptable to that audience. We as mostly white Republicans and staunch conservatives predictably reacted negatively to what Steele was trying to do. We reacted negatively because he was apologizing for what we stand for. I must say that if that is Michael Steele's notion of appealing to the black community we have certainly chosen the wrong man for this job.

The problem is that Steele has no great vision for the party. He wants to be a mechanic, a ward healer in the black community. Even a conservative Barak Obama working the precincts.

Are we going to continue to sleepwalk? Michael Steele does not understand what happened at the CPAC convention. He does not get it. His firing of Sarah Palin's finance chairman raises questions which to my knowledge have not yet been answered. Does that represents a victory for the Rockefeller wing? If so, Steele must go.

Our backs are to the wall. The conservative movement has been created under heaven to fulfill this role at this time in history which is to save the Republic from a damned Manchurian Marxist. The chairman of the Republican National Committee cannot lead us in that cause if he does not see it.

And Rahm Emanuel gets EXACTLY what he wanted. Rahm Emanuel could not have scripted this any better. Rush fullfilled Emanuel & Obama’s wishes.

Welcome to FR. Yep, you're still a Newbie, especially with remarks like that.

If anyone speaks to conservative principles it is Rush Limbaugh; NOT Michael Steele. And for Limbaugh to not respond to Steele would be absurd. Rush didn't fulfill Emanuel's dreams; Steele did - by going on some half-a$$ed show and dissing a true conservative. If you don't understand that then you need to learn how to develop your thought processes.

There is no cutting corners with the truth. If there are not enough people who understand the truth, we need to point out the folly of lies from the sidelines. Truth may just have to be proven true again before it comes back into favor.

The Republican party is no longer identified as conservative. Look at what was run last time—McCain. He’s not conservative and sadly, neither was Bush, though I voted for both as ‘lesser of two evils choices’. Give me a Conservative Party in name and action and I’m there. At least our name will define us and our philosophy. If the RINOs want what is left, so be it. Give me a new start and a couple of years to work on it. Conservatives will go where the conservative action is.

I did the same thing. After reminding them that I’m an unaffiliated voter, told them that unless they publicly denounce the rinos that voted for porkulus and refuse to fund them in the future they would never see another dime from me. Put on the supervisor who tried to guilt trip me on the Obama/Dems and I got p***ed and read him a second riot act about how it isn’t about them. It’s about conservative values that “you” abandoned when you had the opportunity and were in power. Kept trying to say he couldn’t change the past - so I told him fine fix the future by calling out all the non-conservatives. He had no answer.
