Rush is addressing the comments directly.

I’ve listened to him everyday since October 2005.
Clearly, I’m on Rush’s side on the whole flap, but I don’t want a wedge driven between the conservative base and the GOP. That just ensures Democrat victories.
Newt?
Newt is the most anti-Rush candidate out there. Rush had him on his show many many months ago, and lit him up.
He believes in global warming for one thing. And when I say, he believes in it, he held his political pinkie in the air a year ago and decided he could make hay from it.
No more RINO’S!!!!!!!! We need a new party, I concur with the previous posts about starting a Conservative Party.
It’s time to start over.
Yes, that comment is just dumb. We need to bring this stuff out into the open and deal with it, and that’s precisely what Rush is doing.
Ken Blackwell is a racist?
Let’s bring back the Federalist Party. If it was good enough for George Washington, it’s good enough for me.
Rahm, Shmahm. This HAD to happen, and it had to happen in public. How did we get McCain? Because it was his turn. That’s it. When it was clear that the ‘Dole’ strategy wasn’t going to work, again, they actually found a telegenic conservative with a conscience to see if any of it would rub off.
It worked so well that the media sent enough people into Alaska to root through her trash that they were able to timescale out her menstrual cycle with the evidence.
What was scarier is they really didn’t find much of anything and had to make it up for the most part.
Bottom line, the old deal is over. This comity with the other party to form a third pary called ‘Appropriators’ has got to end.
No new Party but Steele needs to go ...now! and let em start over ...but they better find someone who knows what he is saying
Whoever this person was, apprently he was rooting for him.
Hanging up on Republican callers isn’t a great way to increase support, is it? I simply asked very politely why Steele was speaking against Limbaugh. That was the end of the “conversation”.
The problem is the Dems will never allow it AND they seem to have a locked in 43% minimum which guarantees they win three way races if they didn't just strangle the new party in its political crib.
Holding my nose and voting for McCain was my last dalliance with the Republican Party. While there are a handful of respectable conservative legislators out there with an (R) next to their name, I now consider that a coincidence.
I’ve also written to Steele and told him I’m done contributing to the Republican party so long as they continue as they are.
My wife and are now both officially third-party voters.
I follow the news a lot and somebody needs to tell me what Steele said.
Oh, gimme a break, little buddy.
I’m 100% on Rush’s side. I just don’t think it’s helpful to have a wedge driven between our base and elected Republicans. That is Emanuel & Obama’s aim. We need to be directing all fire on the Dems, as they need a fractured conservative base and Republican party to force through their agenda.
Hung up on me too. I was shocked!
Why do some of you think this needs to be patched and puttied over post haste?
####
Agreed.
How can it get any worse for us, so why rush to mend fences?
Better to do the surgery now, rather than make nice to cover up the festering wound that is the RINO presence in the Republican party.
Keep it up Rush and turn up the heat.
At this point, any begging letter with a Steele signature will simply throw ITSELF into the trash in people’s homes!
Like we haven't had any of those the past two election cycles....
