I called the RNC. Chose any option other
than the coment line. Got a young lady
and just said that what Steele said was
boneheaded. She replied, “ I know.”
What “more info “ are you waiting for ?

Look at the video. He said it. Additionally, earlier on in the video he agreed with his hosts that the Republican Party has been racist.

You’re right. I just rewatched (at 6:56)...

My bad.

What a bonehead move.

This reinforces my belief that the GOP has been infiltrated by enemies and is being divided from within. I thought Steele was sort of a wimp from the first time I saw him. He’s just another liberal. Conservatives need a new home.

Don’t just give up!! Work harder to make it the kind of Party you want! I’ll bet you don’t even go to the convention after the primaries in order to get involved. And do you volunteer your home to host good candidates to get their start? That is about the mininmum you can do.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

"...he should have said..."

But he didn't did he. He proved the voters in his state right....

“Good come back.”

Thanks. Yeah, let’s not be taken in by the liberal media’s intent to carry out Obama’s Alinsky’s radical propaganda mechanisms. Let the liberals fall for that ;-) We’re smarter than that. If you listen to what Steele says and how he says it, it isn’t as bad as either the written piece is trying to make it or the way the CNN reporterette attempted to spin it. Note the patronizing comments at the very end and very few people can dismiss that stuff. And hey, it gives Steele some ‘altitude’ for some of their listeners.

I’m as mad as you are, but why not “screw Steele” rather than screw the GOP”? Let’s take our wrath out on Steele, specifically. Deluge him specifically with “either apologize and retract or resign” and don’t let up until the wiser heads in the GOP leadership have held his feet to the fire long enough to force him to crawl to Rush with his tail between his legs.

And if the rest of the GOP leadership won’t sit him down and have a “Dear Michael” talk with him and straighten him out, well, then, I agree, “Screw the GOP.”

But the first step is to try to turn this to our advantage—show our strength, bring Steele to his knees by our outcry, make it another nail in the coffin of RINO dominance in the GOP? Sure, it may not work. But politics is all about leveraging what can be leveraged. And Rush is a monster of a lever to employ here.

All 20 of them.
They ran the McCain
campaign. We all saw how
clueless they are.
We need to run Steele
out. He ( apparently)
deceived enough of the
electors about his political
philosophy. But if they had
looked, they would have seen he
had thrown in with the “moderates”
years ago.

We need someone like Rush to start a new party. Sink some big bucs into it, say $50 million to start. Form a committee. Start hiring and marketing and caucusing. How about The American Party?

Mr. Steele said it. You can see it in the video. Steele is also against the 2nd. That should have been enough for all to reject him.

The Republican party taking on Limbaugh? We all know who will lose that fight. Looks like putting Steele in charge of anything was a mistake. Calling for a hip hop Republican party reaching out to constituencies that we will never reach and taking on Limbaugh are major mistakes.

Good grief....Republican’s are simply morons. Our own worst enemy. Reagan would roll over in his grave for this blatant violation of his “11th Commandment”. Idiots.

Repubs, conservatives play into their hands when they start attacking their own. Steele brought this on. He’s the one that used those words.

Right, Gingrich. He has made common cause
with Hillary Clinton. He may be articulate
in some areas, but he also suffers from
Hubris, and had been in DC forever. He gets
invited to all the right parties. Do not fall
for his act.

To paraphrase your post, in terms of the status quo:

“Fight the good fight in the R party, but vote for the R candidate no matter what he does or does not stand for.”

How’d that work out with McCain?

“Society should draw lines. What do you need an assault weapon for, if you’re going hunting? That’s overkill.”
Michael Stephen Steele

“Studies show enormous disparities still exist in education, healthcare, employment and economic opportunities along racial lines in the United States. I believe programs are still necessary to help close these divides. I support giving people opportunities. Programs must be fair to all Marylanders – of every color – and they should focus on economic empowerment.”
Michael Stephen Steele

Does the RNC have a recall provision?
