The Octomom mother of 14 IVF conceived children has officially passed on an offer of free 24-hour nursing care for her kids by the nonprofit group Angels in Waiting.
AP reports that the groups founder said that Suleman seemed to lose interest in their offer after they ruled out her request to do a reality show around her childrens' care.
Those poor, poor kids.
Who turns down free 24-hour care for their children?
Is Nadya holding out for a better deal? One that includes TV rights and a book contract?
Angels in Waiting lawyer Gloria Allred said she filed a request for an investigation with Los Angeles County Child and Family Services into how Suleman will care for her children.

She had better make her deals right now. The do or die date is coming quickly. Eventually the hospital will release the children and she won’t have much time to lead an entourage around LA.
Do the Angels do it for money by getting their own contracts?
Actually, this may have been a rare rational decision by the amazingly irrational Nadya Suleman. From what I’ve read, Angels in Waiting didn’t actually have the money to do this for more than a very short time, and was planning to “rely on donations”. In other words, it’s a self-promoting fund-raising organization.
Angels is Waiting was purportedly founded to encourage nurses (mainly NICU nurses) to take in premature babies as foster children and bill Medi-Cal professional rates for their care. On the surface, an activity with a charitable purpose, but one has to wonder why it’s now promoting itself via the Suleman case. And do NICU nurses in California really need an organization to tell them that they can bill the taxpayers for taking NICU babies into foster care? And was billing the taxpayers the only real plan for for making good on this “offer” to provide care for the Suleman children?
The fact that Gloria Allred is now blabbering that she “filed a request for an investigation with Los Angeles County Child and Family Services into how Suleman will care for her children” is just further evidence of the organization’s self-promoting aims. The hospital already has a social worker on the case and the whole world knows about this woman’s situation. LA County CFS hardly needs Gloria Allred to alert them to the fact that this woman doesn’t have a viable plan for taking care of her 14 children. And for some bizarre reason, Angels in Waiting had put a deadline on accepting its offer — a normal strategy for a fast-talking salesman, but unfathomable for an organization supposedly dedicated to helping provide nursing care for premature infants.
Octotots Offered Free Clothing for a Year!

Did you see the press conference? the woman lawyer Albread? Aldread? was sitting next to the charity spokeswoman.
I think it is a publicity stunt all the way around.
The octomom may be scum, but I can’t see giving up control of my kids to some left wing charity associated with that lawyer.
They bill Medi-Cal, at least that’s been their scheme so far. The deal is that nurses take NICU babies home on a foster care basis, and then bill professional rates to the state for caring for them at home, instead of caring for them in a hospital. I’m sure this is often good for the babies, but it’s not exactly my idea of a “charity”.
“The non-profit (Angels in Waiting) told Suleman that they couldn’t agree to working in stride with a camera crew because of the risk it posed to the babies’ health and their ability to do their work.”

Allred is all about government is the solution.
I wonder which one gives the mother more control.
governemnt intervention or a tv show which gives parental contol in the face of government?
thanks for the info, I figured if alred was involved there is a scam in there somewhere.
Scary on so many levels.
How do we protect children without having the state and lawyers crawling all over?
And if I remember the name right, wherever Allred goes, a TV camera or five is not far behind.
STRETCH MARKS ALERT! SAGGY T*TS ALERT!
Allard probably wanted the cash from a “reality show.”
True, but both the state and many 'non-profits' are actually pursuing FUNDING under the guise of helping the children.
Don't get me wrong, there are many worthy organizations out there, but the ones run by liberals, politicians and involving lawyers/judges always seem to have a big payoff for someone, somewhere!
