Tune in March 2:

Former Tennessee senator and presidential candidate Fred Thompson will launch his nationwide radio talk show on March 2, opening with 125 stations, according to the Westwood One syndicate.

The show will air from noon-2 p.m. Monday through Friday opposite Rush Limbaugh, though some stations may delay the broadcast to later in the day. The only Tennessee station signed up thus far is WWTN 99.7 FM in Nashville.

Thompson gave up his role as the district attorney on television’s Law & Order in order to run for president.

He was thanking the folks he had met in the last few years. I like the format with Jerri. She mentioned that she had been on a conservative “View” program at cpac, with Michelle Malkin. Now i need to find the video. Fred said she was no Rosie O’donnell.

I agree. Having McCain as a guest on his inaugural show doesn’t exactly set the right tone either. But it’ll be interesting what views he expresses on the McCain campaign.

...people will tell lies about him and make disparaging remarks before they actually listen to him?.... I’m sure that is what you were going to say.

Is Jerri going to be a regular on the show?

I think so. I like the way they don’t talk over each other.

You can “time shift” a show by looking for stations that broadcast at other times of day here:

Give me a break, Using that same logic, McCain must have run a brilliant primary campaign.

We let the media “no fire in the belly” mantra kill Fred’s campaign, even when he was making as many campaign stops on a daily basis. At the same time, we let the media tell us only a McCain would stand a chance in November.

We voted like the media told us to, and we got spanked. What really gets me going is so called conservatives that say, I know Thompson was the only conservative in the race, but I voted for ____________ (insert lame excuse here).

I learned at CPAC this week that Fred Thompson's wife, Jeri, is getting pretty involved at PJTV.com, but I'm not sure specifically what she will be doing. Something in front of the camera, I'm sure...

It has its moments, and I lived it at first, but is it me, or has it gotten more and more random and self-contradictory? It also reminds me of the Sopranos episodes when Tony was in a coma, and had an extended dream that he was Kevin Finnerty, a traveling salesman. That got old after a while, too.

Thanks for the ping. I’d like to sound excited over this because I like Fred Thompson the actor. He’s only on four distant podunk stations here at 5 and 6 in the evening. He’s having McCain on and I wouldn’t cross the room to get the remote for that.

I was happy and eager to vote for Fred but then he just gave up and walked away with the donations many of us had made. It reminded me of him chairing the Senate Committee investigating John Glenn. In the middle of the action, you could see the day he wilted and gave up any further activity. He doesn’t finish things, and doesn’t tell us why.

Dennis Prager is in Rush’s time slot here on the west coast, but I still prefer Rush.

I like both.

But it is really not a competition, in the usual sense of the word. That is to say, there is no point in one's viewing it in terms of winners and losers. I wish the best for Dennis Prager and for Rush Limbaugh--and now, for my former senator, Fred Thompson. All of these are good men.
