Speaking to a packed room at the opening day of CPAC in Washington D.C. yesterday, former UN Ambassador John Bolton warned convention attendees of something he believes "goes to the heart of the Obama administration" and that will affect not only us but our children and grandchildren. No, not the stimulus bill (although thatâs a good guess) - it's what he termed "the coming war on American sovereignty."
The problem, he said, is that liberals believe differences in policies that affect Americans shouldn't be debated here at home, but on the international stage - and we can expect it to take a variety of guises, from global warming to the Law of the Sea Treaty to arms control. In other words, look for American policy to conform to so-called international standards and international law.
Some of the policies that will make us weaker are already under way, said Bolton, including the cut in defense spending.
In conclusion, Bolton said the Obama administration "doesn't understand so much of what we need to do to protect American security. I think it's clear that our national security is at risk under this administration. I think it's a dangerous time in the United States."

I think it’s already here.
Gee, a socialist economic policy and a clueless response to terrorism. How much damage can he, Pelosi, and Reid do in 4 years? We need to start cutting losses in 2010.
Clueless or Planned?
Pretty tough to win a war when your commander in chief sides with the enemy.
yeah, there’s a fine line between being mindful of the international community and being subservient to the international community. Democrats have their heads up their a$$es most of the time but especially when it comes to foreign policy. They’ve been that way since Carter(some will argue longer of course). Ask obama to outline an election strategy and he’ll tell us more than we want to hear but ask him to outline a pro-American foreign policy strategy, and be prepared for a lot of “uhms”, “uhs” and “ers”.

This is, to me, the biggest issue that has yet to outrage the American people.
John Bolton for President in 2012.
Most of his comments are so deeply based in fact and retrospectively prescient, it’s hard to ignore the guy.
Open Borders, One Sided Trade Agreements, US Gov't Debt that hobbles our Economy, underfunded and inefficient Military Finances and undermining of cultural threads, Intellectual Property Thievery ignored and on and on. Taken together these and a few other things are slowly whittling away at our Country. Just a repeat of history IMO.
Forgot to mention the coming Energy Tax and the UN Human Rights Commission.

Exactly, the international "leaders" that wish us ill see Obama as weak and naive. Unfortunately, they are correct. He is a petulant newbie when it comes to leadership. He has no experience leading or managing people in say a corporation, military unit, or even a school board. His whiny "I won" comment speaks volumes about his frustration when things don't go exactly his way. He has no idea about how to build consensus, lead a team or group to a conclusion, accept advice/input, or even simply pick his battles. He expects everyone to defer to him.
As he comes up against players with real savvy, they are going to have him for lunch. Unfortunately, that includes us at the moment. Not only will they take advantage of him personally by playing on his personality weaknesses. They will also take advantage of him strategically and attack the United States through various treaties and agreements. He simply has no idea, no appreciation for what he is so blithely prepared to surrender. Something our forefathers fought long and hard to maintain.
I happened to have a goodbye lunch with an aging WWII vet today who is moving out of the area soon. Most of what he had to say about Obama I can't print here - it'd get me banned for language (I already push the limits). Besides, some of those words I think I need to look up. ;-) He did note that had Obama and his ilk come forward in the 1950s with these ideas, they'd have been put on trial for treason, and a file started on them as a communist sympathizers - no question about it. He lamented how the left has slowly and insidiously worked its way into the American psyche to the point where people actually cheer Obama, when a couple of decades ago he'd have been booed and had rotten produce thrown at him. He concluded we certainly have come a long way - in the wrong direction.
That’s why IT’S GOOD States are passing sovereignty resolutions, that way they can tell the feds to “back off” when they try to implement these unconstitutional dicatates (and laws).
Bolton and I would add Rush!
And how did Bolton’s own Party treat him? And what kind of boss did he have in the State Dept.?
