Capping Carbon Emissions May Increase Energy Rates, Orszag Says (America, YOU'VE BEEN PUNKED!)

Office of Management and Budget Director Peter Orszag admitted this morning that capping carbon emissions may increase energy prices but said Americans would receive other benefits through President Obama's budget.

"Let's be fair about this," Orszag said in an exclusive "This Week" interview with George Stephanopoulos.

"Either you're going to look at what is collected through the tax code and what's returned through the tax code. And on that basis, there's a tax cut for 95 percent of Americans, or you have to go all in. Let's also count the benefits that families get through Pell Grants, the benefits that they'll receive through constraining health care costs, the benefits that they get from weatherizing their homes, and so on. All in, this budget makes the vast majority of American families much better off."

We almost own our house and have no other debt. Since I have been a stay at home mom for years we have always been on a budget. BUT I cringe every time I get a utility bill in the mail anymore. Everything gets passed onto the middle class. They have killed the golden goose.

I also expect Hussein and the Democrats eventually to shut down the use of coal altogether and put a large tax on oil or a series of taxes on gasoline and petroleum products that will put much of the category out of reach of the less affluent. One leftist goal has always been to drastically reduce the mobility of the population. $15 dollar gas would do that. It would reduce the number of automobiles on the road to make it more practical to require GPS transponders, ostensibly for mileage taxing purposes, in every motor vehicle. Reducing the population to what is now regarded as poverty is probably also a leftist goal. It makes the masses(yeah, that is the appropriate word in the new configuration) easier to control because thew will be then dependent of government for such luxuries as food and shelter.
