During our exclusive interview on "This Week," Republican Whip Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., rejected comments made by Rush Limbaugh at the CPAC conference.
<Snip> Limbaugh said Saturday to the conservative conference, "What is so strange about being honest and saying I want Barack Obama to fail if his mission is to restructure and reform this country so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundations?"
Cantor today rejected Limbaugh's rhetoric.
"So the Rush Limbaugh approach of hoping the president fails is not the Eric Cantor, House Republican approach?" I asked.
"Absolutely not," Cantor said. "And I don't -- I don't think anyone wants anything to fail right now. We have such challenges. What we need to do is we need to put forth solutions to the problems that real families are facing today."

Exactly. Clearly, Cantor didn’t “repudiate” Limbaugh. Yet people around here like to scream “screw Cantor!” “screw the GOP!!”
“Give it up, dude. There’s a certain percentage here on FR that has a vested interest in dividing conservatives as much as possible with bogus, dishonest nonsense like the title of this thread, etc. There’s a similar percentage who can then be reliably counted on to jerk the knee without bothering to fact-check, and then we have the percentage who are just “ain’t-never-gonna-vote-fer-the-Republicans-again!!!!” whiners.”
You’re probably right.
I sometimes suspect they are paid sabatuers, intentionally disrupting things.
This entire thread is misinformation.
Cantor is a rino who voted for TARP. Behind closed doors he pushed for it.
He needs to be defeated.
They stupidly accept implicitly the premise of the 'rat question. Rush's spech was all about success, not failure. But Snuffy or whoever asked boy Cantor about "failure" and Cantor sucked it down without blinking. He screwed himself, and the GOP, and America, before he even drew a breath to answer. A bad rookie mistake.
Watch the video.
The original post is misinformation, right from the Alinsky play book.
Cantor didn’t say this.
Cantor is a staltwert conservative. Watch the video. The post is misleading.
There, fixed it.
And I didn't see the actual interview. Our satellite provider lost their Atlanta feed from the ABC station for most of the hour that "This Week" was on here.
Never understood why Cantor has such a huge following on this forum that are obsessed with running him for higher office (Senate, Veep, President, etc.). He lost me when he voted for the bailout last year. The guy has a pretty good conservative record but is too much of a go along, get along status quo brand of Republican.
Perhaps. I'm continually amazed at how many cowardly "conservatives" there are on where who are so willing to believe nonsense like this (from an MSM source, no less), but who are perfectly willing to sit on their thumbs and do nothing, because somebody, somewhere, did something they didn't like. We have one person on this thread who basically hopes America goes down the tube. What a reprobate. That individual needs to go back to France where they belong.
Maybe Cantor should change that R to a D.
It should be a capitol crime for people like Cantor to even think about running for office. JMHO
Um, the post is false. Cantor didn’t say that.
Sounds like another mealy mouthed politician—one that thinks appeasing Dems will get them liked.
He demonstrated a lack of sufficient brain power and a lack of testicles. There is no leadership, no strength, and no intelligence in his response. Big fat fail. His answer sucks and he sucks. We should be done with him.
Have you seen the interview? He didn’t say what is posted.
At least read the thread before you embarass yourself.
This is additional proof that the Republican Party is a worthless, spineless, gonad-less bunch of limp-wristed girly men trying to appease the left. We should not be spending a moment of our time or one thin dime supporting this bunch of idiots.
WE WANT THE ZERO TO FAIL. There. I said it.
Now that I agree with, and I wouldn't support Cantor in any primaries he happened to be in. Nevertheless, the whole tenor of this thread is dishonest, since the ABC blog that it came from was dishonest. Cantor didn't do or say what ABc says he did.
What are you drinking? King Obama is a Socialists/Communists and all his policies are destroying America. And he will continue. That is why, and I totally agree, King Obama must fail completely and the sooner the better.
