Personally, I think it’s a great idea. You probably need to get input on the length of the activity. What would send the message and what would be overkill. Also, whatever mass gathering could eventually come about, I think July 4th says it all for a date.

I read most of it (but not all) and this is a GREAT idea!!!!! My brother and I were saying just yesterday that we need a couple hundred thousand conservatives to march on Washington, and we need a few months to get it together! : )
We must fight back the way the left did in the sixties - a tall order for conservatives, busy with responsibilities, I well understand.

It sure would be nice if you had a well-funded group like ACORN to help you organize it. Oh, that's right, community organizers only work for the other side.

Music would help
I was actually thinking about something like this. Cover about 10 or 12 songs towards the heavier spectrum, but which nonetheless usually have a great chorus that everybody could get into.

I believe conservatives will activate, even more fiercely than liberals, when their tolerance threshold is breached. We’re probably there already.
Count me in.

OK, speaking from Experience, having "Marched" on Washington before, more than once, and invaded the Halls of Congress and visited 100+ Congressional offices, leaving position papers. You do need a stage, or stages, You do need Permits, especially if you want to do a Symbolic March towards the Capitol Building or the Whitehous, as this gets the Police on Your Side helping with the route/traffic. We need to Partner with other Groups, Move America Forward, GOE, HotAIR, etc..etc...the more the better. You are right on several other facts, we need an internet Tech. Org, or ability to piggy back on existing sites. We need to Schedule "Activities", Speakers, events, and maybe a Final Symbolic Flag waving march down Pennsylvania Ave. (as ANSWER/CODE PINK have done) We need to demand equal rights for walking down the Mall carrying Signs for Legislators to Read. We need a Delegation to go visit Congress, before/after the March. Hell, the Anti War crowd had Tents set up for 2 days and camped out in Front of the Water pond next to the Capitol, handing out Propaganda for days. We need to secure equal rights to Protest. Talk to the Groups that have DONE IT before, and Learn what works from previous "Marches".

April 15th is a target date for many who participated in the Tea Party.
Personally, I would do a local event. Not DC.

If we organize an “Event” . . . those that cannot go because it’s expensive . . . can get Sponsors to send a Delegation from the “Organization of Choice goes here”.
Each State has to be visibly represented....all 57 of them.
It’s less a Freepers event, It should be a nationwide American event
When representatives of your “Protest” show up in the Congressional offices, sign the Visitors book, and leave behind a one page “statement” or whatever, Congress persons notice. (Or whoever is manning the office of same).
If 200,000 people show up, and no one VISITS the Congessional offices, or goes to the Floor of the Senate/House and VISITS, then you have less of an Impact.
We have to create a small delegation to carry the “Protest” particulars to each Congress person.
Wierdo anti War people held constant vigils outside the Whitehouse. They had a constant presence. We should have the $$$’s/organizational capability to establish a long running “Presence” on the Whitehouse Fence, and rotate personnel/volunteers to man that location.....just like they did to Bush, handing out propaganda leaflets to the Citizen tourists.
It takes money, and Volunteers, with OBama supplying the Motivation Speeches to go visit DC in person.

We all talk a big game about the Constitution, here on FR, on Talk Radio, and recently at CPAC. Well, when are we going to walk a big game? Thousands of us here have been doing that since 1997 and before.
Continuing the tradition works better when the past efforts are acknowledged.

Good idea. Let’s build on this. We have to speak up for the sake of our country. No more keyboard warriors, let’s act and be heard.
