Start watching the video at about 7:40 and get back to me.

I think you can't just take that set-up question by Stephie on its own without the whole video, he spent talking about all the problems. It was poorly done, but it didn't repudiate Limbaugh, at that the whole context agreed with Limbaugh, Cantor just was trying to be too political, too nice..

Clarification:

I’m familiar with careyb and know he’s no troll. In fact, the videos he’s posted have given me more than a few laughs. That said, many of the responders on this and other threads today ARE and it’s important that we realize that when we throw red meat with titles such as this it only serves to embolden them and blacken a very good Conservative eye that may not deserve it.

FRegards.

How disappointing. I was upbeat at first about Gov. Steel’s selection as the RNC Chairman. Then I heard his comments about Rush. Thus exposed him as a RINO and as such he is representative of what is wrong with the Republican Party. As long as he remains the RNC Chairman I can not support the RNC.

I am also sad to hear that Cantor is also backstabbing us. The sooner we flush the Republican Party of these RINOs the better. I support everything Rush said, and I have heard nothing from Steels or Cantor that excites me. In fact I accidentally caught Steele on some show hosted by a hip-hop black last night on CNN and he was kissing up so much it made me sick.

I truly wish there were a new party that stood for conservatism and had a leader that inspired me. Perhaps someday that will come true, hopefully it won’t be too late.

I see what you are saying... I think I was still reacting to some of the other posts bashing CareyB, I disagree, but we know he isn’t a troll.. I think Cantor had poor form, but I wouldn’t call it a repudiation..

That is just a simple disagreement..

It is those who take this little thing and start creating a wedge that we need to be concerned with..

You are a DUMBASS! I'm reading other people responses to this thread!

So you admit that not only did you NOT watch the video, but you just read certain responses (which apparently support your prejudices) and believed those.

That's called being naive.

By the way, did you read the responses that are at odds with your position? Why didn't you believe those? LOL!

The republcan party is expendable. Rush isn’t. Cantor and Steele can also leave the room, and nobody will care.

Rush did say:

"We have socialism, collectivism, Stalin([ism], whatever you want to call it, versus capitalism."

I thought Rush made the communist connection rather well. Good enough for me anyway. In fact, I thought Rush hit a home run with his speech at CPAC. As did Newt and several other rightwingers. What undercut Rush`s message and the overall conservative message of CPAC this year, was the split in the straw poll voting. Albeit, a meaningless poll. Nonetheless, this continued fracturing of conservatives that gave the Romney the chameleon a slight preference over the others, serves no good purpose in the end.

The goal today should stay focused on the 2010 election which is just around the corner. Congressional Republicans have remained united against Obama during his Honeymoon phase. Great. Hopefully that won't change.

Instead of offering mostly empty rhetoric, Rep Eric Cantor should spend more time deconstructing the Democrats overall plans for America. In this interview, Cantor came across a litle too PC and yes, he did repudiate Rush Limbaugh's speech at CPAC yesterday.

I’ll only assume Cantor made his remarks about Limbaugh for one reason: he’s a politician. Not that he doesn’t agree with Limbaugh, but that he’s not in a position to be marginalized even more by The Beltway & The Drive Bys. Both are just itching to pounce on a weak target like Congressional Republicans. It might be a Biding Time strategy - even if all of them agree with it.

Rush himself said on his show he couldn’t get elected to anything - and this display by Cantor, of being careful and hedging, is an example Rush gave as to why he’d never win anything. The Liberal Sycophant Media is just waiting to do to ANY Conservative now exactly what they did to Palin. And in the very easrly stage of the Zerobama Dictatorship, they can muchmore easily get away with it. So, Limbaugh is the ideal one to take the arrows because there’s no POLITICAL consequences to him. So Rush can fire up the conservatives in the country, and we’re all more than ready to pounce ont he Democrats. But it’s too early to start banging Democrat heads now. A lot of things have to gel before the sweep back to power for us is imminent, and unfortunately, a lot of the disastrous plans have to concretize before the movement gets its fuel.

But notice this everyone: most of the Zerobamination spending doesn’t kick in until 2010 or 2011. Think those years were chosen at random? NOT!. They’re setting up their OWN reelection strategy by not having any of the suffering really kick in until THEY assure themselves the House doesn’t flip in 2010. If they keep control of the House in 2010, the boom is gonna get lowered and lowered FAST - right on top of all of our heads. These Marxists have come too far and laid too much groundowrk for the current COUP they staged of Zero’s election to slip away by what they see as a flukey outcome at the ballot box in 2010. That’s why Cantor and Steele are hedging, in my view. Until the failing of Porkulus, Tarp, and whatever else they have in store becomes self evident & irrefutable, bleating about predictions will ring hollower than it will otherwise . Once the disasters start to play out in real time, nothing the Drive Bys could say will have any weight because too many people, INCLUDING the Limousine Liberals, will start to miss their money & their freedoms that will have been sharply curtailed or eneded.

The Republican’s can’t go full tilt now for the same reason an army of guerillas can’t directly confront a more massive foe head-on. They need more time to strategize, create diversions, put other tactics into play, etc. That’s what you do when you’re outnumbered and not backed up very much. And lest we forget, that’s EXACTLY how the Left staged the coup they’ve staged, which took decades to reach fruition. The only reason it took them so long was because they’ve had to hide their real Marxist agenda all that time. They did it silently, in the background. Seems like Cantor & Steele are seeding the ground with all sorts of possibilities, giving them many positions to take, including the Limbaugh one should the time get ripe to do it. Conservatives are disadvantaged right now politically and culturally. It’s not time yet to attack. But it will be soon :)

I just wish Cantor had a little sharper wit and said something like “I support the Commander in Chief, just not his mission”, but Cantor is a politician.. remember the parable of the scorpion and the frog.

The original title is mis-leading, something a democrat might do to separate elected conservatives from Rush. Not so much the FR poster but the original source.

Rahm Emmanuel and the Boys from Chicago are using Rush Limbaugh as bait to play rope-a-dope with the so-called GOP leadership

So far they have roped Steele and Cantor

Our country just experienced a soft coup, has an arrogant intellectually overrated president declaring war against most of the taxpayers and economic producers of his own country, and is issuing an unconstitutional executive action each and every day

and these GOP dopes have time to make public statements against most conservatives’ favorite radio show host

next, they will ask for our contributions to fund a conference on how, in 2010, to rearrange deck chairs on the Titanic

I’m so sick of the whining on this board and the finger pointing. Who gives a crap about who’s a Republican and who’s a Conservative.

There’s not one elected official that I respect...not one! I’ve never been happy with our government..yep even when RR was president I was not a happy camper. It is too easily forgotten how a demo congress ran wild with spending when RR was president and ran up the debt. And RR signed every single budget. Don’t make excuses, he signed ‘em. And I know why he signed ‘em...so puleese don’t give me the lecture.

RL’s speech was not about the democrats, republicans or government, it was about you.

Yep the bipartisan thing really got McCain far, didn’t it?

In any case, I’m happy to see so many Freepers waking up to the truth. The GOP has been coopted by demrats. And the demrats will not allow RINOs running it to cede it back to conservatives—even if they wanted to.

Very good point, folks are jumping all over CareyB but the fact is the mods are pretty pissy about not changing the title of articles.. he was just following the rules.

“You guys, Rush hasn’t declared war on the Democrat party- he’s declared war on the REPUBLICAN PARTY! And rightfully so.”

Count me in.

This plastic puke Cantor is supposed to be one of the shining lights of OUR party? !@(*# that. I didn’t hear one word out of his mouth that sounded like it came from his heart.

DC politicians from either party only care about staying in DC, Disneyland for politicians and the apparatchiks that serve them.

Any change will come from the states, Alaska would be doing the nation a great service by seceding immediately.

Your source is not “ This week “ its “Hope for Change” .
So why are you HIDING the real source of this clip ??

The title of this clip is a lie. There is no repudiation.
Cantor does not repudiate Rush or even attack him.
So why did you lie about the real source of this link and why peddle a video with a title is a lie ????
