The "he" was Frank Marshall Davis. However, there does seem to be something a little funny with Obama's timeline. I don't recall what it is at the moment, but another FReeper a few months ago pointed it out. I'll try to refresh my memory and post back. It had to do with the age of FMD when Obama first met him. He has apparently made contradictory statements about it.
