The best 10 ideas as expounded by Rush Limbaugh:

1)Don’t treat the voters like children and pander to what you think they want; instead tell them what is right, try to persuade them and hopefully they will learn and oonvert.

2)Conservatives mistakenly ASSUME that the American people know what conservatism is all about. Instead they allow the opposition to define them.

3)”We don’t want to tell anybody how to live. That’s up to you. (This may be the most important line of his whole speech.)

4)”I want anyone who believes in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to succeed. And I want any force, any person, any element of an orcharching Big Government that would stop your success, I want that organization, that element or that person to fail. I wnat you to succeed.”

5)”And if you start thinking of yourself as a minority, you’re going to be defensive. And you’ll allow the majority to set the agenda and the premise and you’re responding to it.”

6) “We can take this country back. All we need is to NOMINATE THE RIGHT CANDIDATE. It’s no more complicated than that.”

7)The idea of Obama being unfair to punish people for entrepreurial desire and ability and hard work
“The people that make this country work, the people who pay their mortgages, the people getting up and going to work, striving in this recession to not participate in it, they’re not the enemy.”

“We can’t have a great country and growing economy with more and more people being told they have a right...to the earnings of others.”

8)”...for intelleectuals, pseudo-intellectuals and all liberals, it’s all about control. It’s not about raising revenue.” (Dr. Friedrich Von Hayek)

9)”Spending a nation into generational debt is not an act of compassion.”

10)”...I want Barack Obama to fail in his mission...to restructure and reform this country, so that capitalism and individual liberty are not its foundation...Why would I want that to succeed?...I want the country to survive. I want the country to succeed.”

That was such a stupid thing for W to have done. Why should any politician pay heed to people who would never vote for him/her?

Well for starters, the POTUS isn't just any politician, he the leader of the free western world.

If he didn't at least give his political opponents a fair say, we will eventually have civil unrest, that's why we are, or were, a "Republic" and not a pure "Democracy" Under Obama we might get civil unrest if he isn't careful since vast number of (conservative) people are being truly disenfranchised

The POTUS represents all the people regardless of their party loyalty. He is the leader of the country and should do what's best for the country.

"Yes, and another thing Bush didn't was promote conservatism. Ever. "

My, my...aren't we just the little "bush basher" this morning?

Look, I know Hussein is your man, but this thread was about Rush and CommieBama...not Bush. Give it a rest. Isn't the left and the MSM doing enough bush-bashing to suit you?

Given all of his foibles and perceived faults, I'd rather have 1 Bush than a thousand commieBamas.

Oh, and...we get your point...you don't like bush...we get it...OK?

We, the people elected George Bush, John McCain, Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Arlen Specter etc. Don’t blame Obama’s ascendancy on Bush! The fact is, we’ve been far too complacent in safeguarding our liberties for decades. We were neither vigilant nor energetic enough to do the work required to secure the kind of government befitting our founding! We let the mental defectives among us, out-work us and dictate the order of the day! We have to get off of our butts and do what’s necessary for the survival of this country!

Look, I know Hussein is your man...

Do you feel better about yourself now?

Show me evidence where I said, "Hussein is my man". Or, apologize for being a liar.

” he the leader of the free western world.”

You left out the verb. It should read, “ he be the leader of the free western world.”

Does anyone know whether this speech will be replayed, or did anyone happen to capture this in its entirety?

I would like to have it in one file (as opposed to 10 pieces).

"...For the majority it's going to get them agitated and make a hue and cry for Rush's voice to be stilled. Watch the pols go all out against him...."

Are you suggesting that Rush Limbaugh not speak out?

Is it "Lack of Reading Comprehension Day" on FR? Where did I say that?

“”We need to hear, at least once a day, hitlery’s shriek on how patriotic it is to criticize any administration.

This must be a constant mantra on every single talk show””

ALONG with ZERO’s proclamation of NO EARMARKS - over and over until they come out to disconnect our TVs....

They should think that through, do they really want to pick a fight with someone with the most popular radio show in America, who has three hours a day to define the issues.

Perception is reality...after three negative Bush posts, one can only assume your loyalties lie in the other direction.

You might get a lot of things from me, but one of them WON'T be an apology.

Well, I watched it. I'm speechless and even teared up a little. I cannot help but feel like we are on such a slippery slope. Conservatives MUST take back our party. We must demand movement back to the core values of conservatism.
