Rush Limbaugh brought a cheering crowd to its feet several times Saturday in Washington as he called on fellow conservatives to take back the country in the keynote speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
"We conservatives have not done a good enough job of just laying out basically who we are because we make the mistake of assuming that people know. What they know is largely incorrect, based on the way we're portrayed in pop culture, in the drive-by media, by the Democrat party," the conservative talk show host told a mostly-young crowd of energized supporters.
"We want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be. We recognize that we are all individuals. We love and revere our founding documents, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independent. We believe that the preamble of the Constitution contains an inarguable truth, that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life, liberty, freedom. And the pursuit of happiness," he said, pausing several times for enthusiastic applause.
Looking ahead to the 2012 election, Limbaugh said conservatives will have to choose the right candidate to take the country back.

Why is that?
McLaim was handed to us by the MSM and crossover democRAT voters during the Primaries. They knew he would bomb for the Republican Party and that's why we got him. Of course, those stupids that claim they are Republicans that voted for him didn't help either.
Rush In A Hurry, Ping!

Antioquia is a GREAT region of Colombia and you are right about the paisa. They are indeed very hard-working and entrepreneurial. The paisas I know in this country are all LEGAL...and are conservative. ;-)

“It may already be too late to reverse the toilet flush.”
ANY American I know would never think that way.
We don't have time to be pessimistic. The best point Rush made in his speech was Conservatism is NOT in the minority, it is the majority.
It doesn't matter what conservatives, or even the rino republican's do, the DBM/dems and societies losers are going to rail against us. We might as well STICK to our principles, do what is right, honor and respect the constitution and never back down, no matter WHAT the electoral consequence.
Never be ashamed to tell a person or people what is RIGHT! This point must be driven home!
“The American people may not all vote the way we wish them to, but more Americans than you now live their lives as conservatives in one degree or another. And they are waiting for leadership.”
Rush is 100% correct about this!
Call for REFORM in 2010-2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was enjoying my MARINE BROTHER'S accurate description
of what's going on in this country and who has seized the
power.
“This is also the beauty of the Tea Parties. Musicians used old instruments to craft an entirely new way of presenting old and new songs. People gathered to dance. The key is ... improvising — making do with what you have and fashioning it into something very usable.”
Yet, even here there’s a lot of pessimism about the Tea Parties posted. I tire of hearing how ‘useless’ they are. Every fire needs a spark!
Why would you enjoy that?
“Call for REFORM in 2010-2012!
There will be no need to call for what will be demanded.”
I LIKE your attitude!!! ;-)))))
This man has EARNED the right to say what he is thinking
and to question his patriotism is outrageous.
Because not many have the balls to say it OUT LOUD.
“How many Americans do you know that have gone through
what this Marine has gone through?”
I don’t know what you’ve gone through but my husband and I have lost many good friends who died serving this nation. This military wife was not questioning your patriotism but rather your pessimism.

One of Rush's most important and salient points was the fact that America is still and can still be "The Shining City on the Hill," while Obama and the leftists only see how terrible everything is. He was the optimist in his speech. He wasn't about to go off and say how there just aren't enough "good guys" left to do anything! And while I agree that there are plenty of the sort mentioned above running around, I'm not about to concede that some sort of critical mass has been achieved, and the majority of people are of that sort.
I do believe that the vast majority of people in the US are a combination of decent, hardworking, yet complacent folk. And Rush pointed out that the vast majority of people already have core beliefs and live their lives in a way that make them primarily conservative. It's just that they're too busy in their daily lives trying to make their childrens' futures better to "get involved" in politics, because frankly, most believe that they can't make a difference. Heck, I know that I've felt that way, after meeting multiple times with my congress-critters, even getting put on one's "do not disturb" list!
The point of Rush's speech is that the USA is a source of goodness in the world, and the source of the goodness is her people. And we just need to get more people to recognize that, and to come over and vote the way that they already believe and live their lives.

Hey, don’t be too hard on river rat. We have to face reality here, especially because we believe America is the greatest nation EVER! However, it CAN be lost unless action is taken... Just wish I knew what action to take!
But I think some are quite aware, and are simply here to ensure the Democrat Chimera of Fear is continued.
Tough Beans to them, I say.
There are times throughout my years on the net, I've come away from the computer, shaken to my core. I look around my home, I look outside, and the world looks evil, and threatening. And it takes me only a second to right myself - that the world is as I choose to perceive it.
I don't have to ignore reality in order to change my world. All I have to do is STAND in my world with my principles and active faith to change the world, my world.
And this is what I've learned through all these past years. I've seen conservatism win every single time I, personally, set out to right MY world. Somehow, all these people showed up and joined me, or I found them. But things which the ShapeShifters (Libs) said would never happen on "their watch"; happened. And the ShapeShifters were flung into the dark corners of their own creations.
This wonderful miracle happens every day a conservative stands Upright and speaks the word of truth and principle.
Sometimes it is a hard fight. But, this is all about a clash of visions -- the liberal one versus the conservative one. Liberals say it is "over". Conservatives say "for you, yes". :)
When we refuse to grant acceptance of the liberal "vision". We win, every time.
It really is like the stories of old. One of my favorite visuals is in the Indiana Jones flick (#3): The Walk of Faith. Indiana has all the clues. He's at the precipice. He shakes some pebbles out over the cavernous gulch. And Walks across a bridge unseen by human eyes.
The liberal vision of "fake bridges" so lots of people can crash to their deaths, or the conservative vision of constructive action as a prelude to victory.
