Mitt Romney won the 2009 CPAC straw poll.
Maybe but Romney is the best chance of unseating him if the economy/defecits are still the issue.
Whoops. He did get 20%, not 30%, so it’s much closer. I also think that if Sarah had been there, she could have earned a few more points. All-in-all, the winners seem to be Jindal and Palin; big loser is Huckabee.
Mitt Romney 20 percent
Bobby Jindal 14 percent
Sarah Palin 13 percent
Ron Paul 13 percent
Newt Gingrich 10 percent
Mike Huckabee 7 percent
Mark Sanford 4 percent
Rudy Giuliani 3 percent
Tim Pawlenty 2 percent
Charlie Crist 1 percent
Jindal was born in the USA

“A Mormon will NEVER be elected as President.”
You may be right BUT who’da thought we’d elect a Communist as President? And, a Socialist Congress?
Does anyone know what Mitt’s percentage was last year? And the year before last? Is he gaining steam or losing steam among the CPAC crowd?
We are contesting bo’s eligibility to be POTUS and none of you can verify that Jindal is a Natural Born Citizen?
Would you nominate someone who is not a Natural Born Citizen? Are you nuts!?!?
You have an alternative?
To destroy the Republican Party, at this time, would be suicide for any true conservative.
Grow up and get over yourself.
Third Party nonsense does not make sense.
If you can not control the Republican Party, how in the HELL will your beliefs ever control the entire country?
“If you think someone is not a Conservative if the dont
support flip-flop Romney, you surely are an idiot.
It’s best to avoid misspellings and grammar errors when calling another an idiot. Just for future reference...
I do not think Ann Coulter or Robert Bork would endorse Romney if he weren’t a conservative in their eyes. I didn’t support him in 2007 but he is fine by me. In fact as the economy gets worse and the deficits soar he is looking better and better.
“Jindal was born in the USA.”
Have you read the Constitution? Apparently not since you are posting irrelevant information.
I would argue that was pretty accurate then. Hillary was well on her way and in Feb 05 no one would’ve guessed that a senator of one month would mount much less win a campaign for president in less than 4 years.
So, you expose yourself as a bigot.
No real policy argument, you just won’t vote for a Mormon, even against Obama?
I like Jindal but if he were to run he would need a strong conservative, experienced running mate. Actually the same with Palin.
His winning the CPAC poll should be seen as a plus. After all, the conservative political action committee is conservative. I haven’t checked out the powerpoint slides, but they are available here:

Your prediction is certainly a possibility. It would be a shame. I could certainly get behing Romney, Palin, Jindal, Gingrich, or Pence. If it’s Crist, he might get my vote, but not my money or any other support. It would be John McCain II, with the same result.
The problem with Mitt is that he has all the political finesse of a bull in a china shop. When he decided to run for president, he left his lieutenant governor, Kerry Healey, twisting in the wind. We had a third party spoiler by the name of Christy Mihos (Massachusett's Ross Perot), and as a result, we got stuck with David Axelrod's first "Yes We Can" creation: "Coupe Deval" Patrick.
Unfortunately, this wreckage wasn't limited to Massachusetts. Romney's half hearted presidential campaign only served to muddy the GOP waters, and VOILA! David Axelrod strikes again.
I certainly hope Axelrod sent Mitt a Christmas card.
Anyhoo, I can't believe we are making the same mistakes over and over again. No more moderates, no more RINOS, and no more cowardice!! The GOP's only hope is to back TRUE conservatives.
But both of his parents would have to be US Citizens at the time of his birth in the US for Jindal to qualify as a Natural Born Citizen.
‘Its best to avoid misspellings and grammar errors when calling another an idiot. Just for future reference...’
Thanks to the spelling and grammar Nazis for pointing these
things out. Sorry if I forgot some precious rules after being labeled not a Conservative.
What are you talking about?? Are you nuts!?!?
FYI - Jindal was born in Baton Rouge, LA, USA in 1971. Case closed.
