The only obvious thing is to recognize that every conservative ideal went out the window when CPAC decided to straw poll for Romney, the man who said government mandates are good, that mandates work.

I'm not sold on Jindal either, not if he's going to listen to those who decide that a moderate tone is the only way not to turn off voters. Amazing how liberals get to toss red meat to their constitutes every step of the way, and the rest of us are told that we gotta not offend voters.

The hell with that plan, all that's gotten us is a series of expansions of government, new liberal plans that have dragged us even further down, and no one to stop the insane plans that got us into this financial disaster in the first place.

We've dumped more than a tenth of our national output into banks, and all we've received for that is unemployment rates over ten percent. We've bailed out manufacturers, yet our economy shrank more than it's ever done before in modern times.

I'm sick and tired of nibbling on the bones, trying to find some lame highpoint in junk speeches to be satisfied with, while our enemies sit back with full bellies knowing that desert is going to follow.

To see that CPAC, one of our last hopes, fell into the same trap yet again that has held back conservatives for a decade is about as disheartening as it becomes. We don't just need tea parties against our government, we need them against our party as well. Someone wants my support, they can start talking what /I/ want to hear.

Here are the results, courtesy of Conservatives4Palin.com

Mittens -30%
Jindal - 14%
Paul - 13%
Palin - 13%
Gingrich - 10%

Not thrilled with Romney at 30%, but it’s not a surprise. These people at CPAC keep choosing him and he keeps proving that his appeal is limited.

The great thing is that Huck is not in the top 5! Seems to me, based on this poll and the CNN poll, that Huck and Jindal appeal to the same type of voter. Notice in the CNN poll that Jindal lost points and those seemed to go towards Huck.

Palin’s appeal appears to be broader than what the media and Gop elite wants up to believe. They keep stating that she and Huck appeal to only social conservatives and NO ONE else, but these polls are stating the opposite. These show that Jindal and Huck seem to appeal to one leg of the stool, and Romney to the fiscal conservative. Palin seems to pick up support from both legs, plus women.

I didn’t like McCain. Why are you opposed to Romney? Your answer can’t be “b/c he is a RINO.”

“But both of his parents would have to be US Citizens at the time of his birth in the US for him to qualify as a Natural Born Citizen.”

Absolutely 100% false.

Can you post a copy of Jindal’s BC?

I am not joking. We don’t need someone who does not qualify nominated on the Republican Ticket.

Sure, you are right and all the Conservatives at CPAC are wrong. Ever heard of Occam’s razor?

MSM meme - “Conservatives Reject Palin” coming in 5, 4, 3 ..

What cannot be forgotten is that if the financial crisis, McCain could have very well been elected. As it was, the only thing stopping a total rout was Sarah Palin.

He was pro-choice at one point before he saw the light. He was also a Democrat until he changed.

“Here we go again! Have we learned nothing?”

Apparently not. He won last year, too, and we didn’t nominate him. Can’t say I have much respect for those voting in the Republican primaries. It should have been Mitt or Fred by a mile. Instead we got the short angry turncoat of a guy who couldn’t put a speech together to save his life.

Exactly. The most important issue to me isn’t abortion or gay marriage. Right now, it is the economy. Mitt knows how to fix it.
