I speak a a former Bush defender who voted for him 4 times.
Let's see, how would Bush act if he wanted to get Obama elected and push his leftist agenda?
Stop arrests of illegals just before the election to make sure Obama's would not be embarrassed by the arrest of his illegal aunt? Check.
Push a $750B bailout to irresponsible banks, increasing the deficit, so that Obama could blame Republicans and start spending like crazy? Check.

The problem with conservatives is that they are by nature loyal people. Specifically, they have a hard time walking away from the GOP because the party used to represent them. The GOP’s best presidents were conservatives. Bush I and II were RINOs. That means that in everything but what they called themselves they were democrats.
Btttt, you say, what about Bush tax cuts? Tax cuts without cuts in government spending are worthless.
Bttttt, you say, what about the war on terror. Any president, even the current usurper, would have had to respond to an event like 9-11. Military did its job in beating the Taliban in Afghanistan and Iraq. Bush screwed the war up from there on out. He and Rumsfeld chose to fight a minimalist war and “achieved” a minimalist result. That war should have been over 7 years ago.
The only thing conservative that Bush did and has panned out is the appointments of Roberts and Alito. But they have not been tested since The Marxist Onada claimed the WH.
