Now get this, the Red Star Tribune article that presumably had the story re China and eminent domain is gone! The language contained in the Google capsule/teaser is nowhere to be found in the article. Shades of Orwell. God help us!

I still think Obama himself is an empty suit. It's the people around him that are pushing the agenda as hard and fast as possible. The marketing world would call it "pent up demand". The left has a long and expensive "wish list". They finally have total control. That's why it's coming so fast and furious. I wouldn't underestimate the "Cloward-Piven" strategy of massive overload to destroy the capitalist system as prelude to forcing socialism. You don't cobble up bills of over 1,000 pages each overnight. Someone has been cooking this stuff for a very long time.

In as much as the confiscation of property is theft, and the Federal Government has no money that is not confiscated from it's citizens, the receipt of any Federal funds by the states is (at least in moral terms) felonious. The land is just the tip of the iceberg.

The same could be said of "earned income" credits and any form of assistance not previously funded by the recipient of said payments.

In short, any form of welfare is just legalized theft.

Someone has been cooking this stuff for a very long time.

They of course had at least several months to gather their socialist ideals together. And I suspect you're right, some of this stuff has been sitting around for a while waiting for "The One". Like Alan Keyes said, if this man isn't stopped, he'll destroy America as we know it.

Like another poster said, I'm beginning to wonder if our State muckity mucks didn't have some prior misgivings about what this man might do and may have contributed to some of the 10th Amendment movement. GEEEZ!

AH! Now that is the Hawaii I grew up in. They used to film occasionally on Kailua beach, not at all far from where I lived. Prejudice aside, Hawaii was a great place to be a little kid.
