You just KNEW this was coming, and I predicted it on several of the protest threads. Sometimes, you just see it before it happens.

I can't tell you how disgusted I feel. We have sold our freedoms out to the point that I fear we cannot reclaim them.

I don’t think the colonists got permission from regulators.

Putting tea into water creates a “pollutant”. Can you think of anything more symbolic of our over-regulated society than this absurdity? Do these geniuses realize that they’re saying pouring tea down the drain is pollution? Or maybe they do believe that.

Liberal anarchists can smash cars and windows and it's called free expression. These nice folks just want to dump some tea, and the oppressors are all over them!

It's like the ATF going after the American citizen militias without a second thought, and leaving the Islamic terrorist cells alone because they have Constitutional rights.

NOTE: No permits were requested for the following:

"The crisis occurred when the customhouse officers attempted to seize a cargo of wine which John Hancock was trying to smuggle into Boston. It was said that Hancock had sworn not 'to sell or to drink wine polluted by the payments of unconstitutional duties.'

But rather than become a teetotaler, John Hancock took the easier course and became a smuggler.

In June 1768, the customhouse got wind of his activities, boarded his ship Liberty and demanded to see its cargo. Hancock and his men showed scant respect for these officials of His Royal Majesty. They locked them up in the cabin, landed the cargo, and when the work was done heaved the customhouse officers overboard.

Meanwhile the mob had learned what was going on at Hancock's wharf; and to punish the customhouse officers for their presumption seized the Collector and the Controller, drove them through the streets, and dragged the Collector's son along by the hair of his head.

The Commissioners of the Customs did not wait for their turns to come: they fled to Castle William and thus put three miles of blue water between themselves and the Boston Sons of Liberty.

When one of the commissioners was reported to have taken refuge in Newport, the Sons of Liberty searched 'Out-houses, Bales, Barrels, Meal Tubs, Trunks, Boxes, Packs, and Packages...in short every Hole and Corner sufficient to conceal a Ram Cat, or a Commissioner,' but they found neither.'

It’s the Iowa State officials that need to be “tea bagged”.

Why can’t they just do it anyway? If Rahm Emanuel can thumb his nose at us on inauguration day, we ought to be able to do the same. Nothing is going to change until people quit being so afraid!

Obeying such foolishness is what makes these “parties” an exercise in politically correct “protests.”

Dump the tea in the lake. Sheesh.

Threat of law suit is the standard op for liberals.

This will be a test for the protesters. Will they submit to this threat or not. There must be some creative response to this threat.

Hmmm if they arrest somebody for putting tea in water that would likely generate huge press.

What would our Founding Fathers say?

Lets see now...

King George's EPA to the Patriot: "No you can't throw the tea in Boston Harbour."

The Patroits to King George's EPA: "Yes, we are. We aren't SOCIALISTS! We are for FREEDOM!! So F You!!"

Wouldn’t they will have to prove that a foodstuff is an environmental pollutant if they arrested anyone for this?

I say go for it, toss the tea in and after you’re arrested, get the lawsuits rolling.

Good thing the Brits didn’t ban it in 1773, we might still be loyal to the crown. What is this BS, ignore them and do it anyway!

Lol...

Although I think these “demonstrations” are silly little bits of theater that undermine the seriousness of events, I would recommend dumping in a friggen truckload of tea now that the bastards have opened their mouths.

Unless the river happens to be over 150 °F, there won’t be any discoloration problem.
