I smell another bailout.
This all about content.
“Sniff you jerks later”
It will be sorely missed. Ha!
Rot in Hell Liberal fish wrap....

Hey Rocky, how is that “Better Red Than Read” plan working out for you?
The gloating here on FR is disgusting.
I thought we celebrate the Bill of Rights — right to bear arms and all that?
A free press is in the Bill of Rights, too, folks. The Founders recognized and protected its worth. With the direction this government is headed now, you may find out the hard way how much you need it.
Newspapers are a victim of the same principle that reduced the demand for carbon paper and saddlery. Don’t pat yourselves on the back thinking that right-wingers put newspapers out of business.
Every time a print publication closes its doors, we lose an outlet to criticize and keep government in check. They did it (to howls of dismay from the left) to Bill & Monica, and those that remain will hound the big O.
Sad day for Colorado. Let’s hope the Chicago presses keep running, because we need them.
Dead Tree Media goes out of business? Who would have thunk it?
Isn’t someone supposed the trademark “Dinosaur Media Deathwatch” or something like that?
Chilling CHAMPAGNE for when I hear that the OLD GREY LADY will finally die!!
We ought to have a memorial with the final day scans of the front pages of these papers as they die.
Awww, this makes me so sad.

Now if only my local ultra liberal, 0bama a$$ kissing kennel liner would go out of business too.
I can’t say I am sorry to see them go. It was a liberal rag whose news was agenda driven. May all media who abuse there readers have the same fate. There is a reason Fox news is the best news media. Fair and Balanced is what people expect and those who put themselves forward as balanced and provide something else do so at their peril.
Buh-bye now! Thanks for flying propaganda air today. Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
I am a Colorado native and happen to have a scrap of the Rocky Mountain News in my desk drawer. Was from some hailstorm.
Its sad to hear this stuff knowing people will lose jobs.
When I moved to Colorado a while back, I thought it would be good to get the local news, so I subscribed to the Denver Post. A couple of months later, I called them to cancel my subscription.
Of course, the circulation agent asked me why I was canceling. My two-word response was, “Too liberal.”
Her response? “Well, we could change your subscription to the Rocky Mountain News; they’re not as bad.”
Wow. That said it all. Um, no, just cancel me please, kthxbye.
It’s humorous to see FReepers celebrating side-by-side with liberals, isn’t it?
