Narathiwat, 26 Feb. (AKI) - Suspected Islamist rebels have decapitated three people in Thailand's Muslim dominated south in the past week, police said on Thursday. Three people were killed late on Wednesday in the southern Thai province of Narathiwat , and one of the victims was decapitated, police said.
Forty-seven people, often soldiers, have been beheaded in Thailand's three Muslim-majority provinces of Yala, Narathiwat and Pattani since 2004. An estimated 3,300 people have been killed in the conflict.
Experts say the region's Islamic schools or 'pondok' are fomenting the Islamist rebellion.
Demands by Thai Muslims include the introduction of Islamic law and making ethnic Pattani Malay (Yawi) a working language in the region. They also want an improvement in the local economy and education system....

No problems here in central Thailand. Most of the Thai’s stay away from SW Thailand due to the Muslems and they consider them as snakes.
It’s about time for the non muslin Thai to grow some stones
and get back to the way they were when they used to fight the Burmese . Of course they used to lose all the time back then also , but at least they went down fighting. Now days they have become a nation of pampered softies , or disenchanted
peasants with a hopeless resignation to authority and the misguided hope that their divine Monarch will somehow save the day . All of this watered down by a version of Buddhism that
ends in a near fatalistic expectation that since all is suffering , all suffering should be seen as normal .
Thais need to be driving the muslim miscreants before them across the southern borders , thereafter building a West bank style wall and dismantling every mosque that they have allowed to infect virtually every community in their fair land. Only then will Siam know peace again.
