Bush Derangement Syndrome. I figured it was something like that. I just couldn't figure out what the letters stood for. Thanks for the answer and all the commentary! :-)

It takes some time to adjust to the changing of the guard. Amen. It's been over a month and I still believe they're referring to GWB when referring to the President. Don't think I will ever get used to the arrogant neophyte temporarily occupying the chair.

I read Crawford did not have accommodations for Secret Service. The house in Dallas was more accommodating for that and Laura wanted to be in the city to do things?

Of course, the ignorance abounds here, pretty sad.
He also built his ranch BEFORE he was President.
Amazing the lies told about him even on FR.
To: STARWISE
The Bush haters on FR cannot let it go, they are as bad as the left wing lunatics.

It’s funny how many people who hate all things blue blood are obsessed with “purity” in that if you’re not born somewhere you’re not part of that place—never mind the Bushes moved there when he was a child, he worked in business there, he was governor. Nope, he ain’t one of them.

Why didnt W retire to Crawford?Because he hasn't retired. I'm sure he thinks he way too young for that. He's going to be doing fundraising to get his Presidential Library built, and get his new Institute up and running. I think he envisions it to be a sort of think tank.
I'm sure they'll head to Crawford from time to time, just to enjoy the place.
