WaPo: Southerners are Slavery-Loving, Racists

Remember how during the run up to the election, all the left pundits and talking heads and their compatriots in the Old Media said that no white person would vote for Barack Obama? Well, despite the singular fact that Barack Obama convincingly won the popular vote in a country that sees a majority of its voters are white, the Old Media is still insisting that all southerners are slavery-loving, neo-confederates that are no different than they were in 1860.

When I call my Congresscritter's office, I identify myself as a tax slave on his Plantation.

Getting out from being under The Man is now the goal of life.

Slavery thrives and lives under Socialism as all citizens that work and produce become slaves to the Government. We now have a Black Socilaist President.
Kinda of IRONIC isn’t it?

We need a latter-day underground railroad for patriots who want to be freed from an overbearing government.

“Slavery thrives and lives under Socialism as all citizens that work and produce become slaves to the Government.”

Yes, but see in the left’s idiotic mind that’s true equality.

I’m a southerner. None of my ancestors ever owned slaves. I’m nowhere near racist. I strongly support state’s rights though. I also think Obama is an idiot.

slavery-loving, neo-confederates

Well, I'm not ashamed of my ancestors involvement in Civil War I on either side, they fought for what they believed in and were willing to die for that belief if necessary.

As for slavery, no one in the Zoidberg line has ever been rich enough to own slaves or run a plantation, so no. We never had them and considering all the trouble that slavery has led to, I don't think I would want a return to antebellum days.

As history has finally shown, slavery in the Americas was just not profitable in the long run.

Liberals are the biggest set of racists that ever walked the face of this earth. Who else would try to keep an entire class of people in their place and compliant with government hand outs for no other reason than to entrench themselves in power and then have the utter gall to say “compassion” is the reason?

When the South fired on Fort Sumter, beginning the war, there were eight slave states in the Union and only seven in the Confederacy. And the first state to legalize slavery? Hint, it was not in the South. And The odds were against the Confederate soldier even owning any slaves. And everyone in Gray were fuming that slave-owners in Delaware, Maryland, Missouri and Kentucky, the slave holding states that remained in the Union were allowed to keep their slaves.

Adding to my earlier comment, Confederate soldiers who did not own slaves were fighting against a proportion of Union Army soldiers who had not been asked to give theirs up.
