Using words such as "imposter" and "usurper," an active-duty Army officer in Iraq has joined a California lawyer's lawsuit intended to force President Barack Obama to prove he is a legal U.S. citizen, and therefore able to legally serve as the commander in chief.
"Until Mr. Obama releases a 'vault copy' of his original birth certificate for public review, I will consider him neither my Commander in Chief nor my President, but rather, a usurper to the Office -- an impostor," 1st Lt. Scott R. Easterling states in his letter published at Defendourfreedoms.com.
An Army spokesman told Military.com today that officials are aware of Easterling's letter.

"We are taking a look at that ourselves right now," Lt. Col. Christopher Garver said. "We are always trying to balance our ... military requirements under the Uniform Code of Military Justice versus critical freedoms that all Americans enjoy."
California dentist turned attorney Orly Taitz, who has brought the lawsuit, told Military.com Tuesday that it is her "understanding that there will not be a serious consequence to his career [for his statements], but I don't know for sure."
"I told him 'you're doing something very brave for this country, and that you can call me any time, 24/7 [for advice],' " she said. "If you're investigated by [the judge advocate general] and if there are any hearings ... and if an officer is defending you, I will provide documents totally proving it's illegitimate for [Obama] to be president."

Rush made a veiled reference to this issue either yesterday or Tuesday when he commented the Obama wasn’t properly vetted but you’re right, talk radio won’t cover this.
Glenn Beck has also made the passing comment that we didn’t know who Obama was when we elected him and we don’t know who he is now that he’s president.
In my opinion, Obama has an even greater duty to our military than he does to us. Unfortunately he isn’t there to serve, he’s there to rule.

Dear Mr. Bryant
I received your article and demand that you publish clarifications, as you have misrepresented a number of things that I have stated in the interview and a number of facts.
1. In a letter you questioned the very existence of officer Easterling and Mr. Tulley stated that information was given by a third party with an ax to grind. As a reporter you could check Officer Easterling’s existence, instead of questioning that. Mr. Tulley claimed that I am a party with an ax to grind. Based on what? His imagination. That is a defamatory statement and I expect retraction and apology.
In regards to the birth certificate, I have explained to you at length that what Obama posted was not an original birth certificate, but a short version, that doesn’t show the name of a hospital and name and signature of a doctor, and since HI statue 138 allows foreign born children of HI residents to get HI birth certificates and get them based on a statement of one relative only, such as grandma, it is imperative to see the original birth certificate, that is supposed to show the name of the hospital and the doctor and compare it with the birthing file in that hospital.
Department of Health in HI never showed the birth certificate, they only said that it exists, however it could be one obtained for a foreign born child or one obtained based on a grandma’s story and not actual hospital records.
I have also explained to you at length, that even if Obama would’ve been born in HI, still he does not have Natural Born Citizen status because he immigrated to Indonesia at age 5 and got Indonesian citizenship and Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship, therefor his mother had to relinquish his US citizenship in order to obtainn Indonesian.
Obviously, Attorney Tullley, that you quoted never studied this issue.
Additionally, in regards to form 138, hundreds of my readers have submitted 138 grievances and got no response from the military. Whistleblower statutes are usually used for reporting financial abuse and 270,000 people have written to Congress, however the Congress refused to act, I believe being intimidated to speak up against the first black president. The issue here is not race or color, but rather concealment of records and fraud.
Finally, no court has ever heard this case on the merits, no judge has ever issued a judicial subpoena and nobody in this country has seen Obama’s original birth certificate, that sits in the vault in Hi, his passports from Indonesia and Kenya or his immigration or school enrollment records. It was dismissed based on lack of standing of ordinary citizens. Active duty military has a better standing and urgency and the courts will have to hear on the merits, or there will be a revolt.
As far as the last comment goes, about Chief of staff saluting Obama, I don’t know if I should respond seriously or laugh. In Germany chief of staff saluted Hitler, didn’t make him legitimate. In our recent history chief of staff saluted Nixon, as he was getting into helicopter and leaving office disgraced during Watergate.
Curiously, you posted only negative remarks about officer Easterling and I hope you are not doing so intentionally. I will ask readers from my blog to forward hundreds of their positive remarks, that they sent to my blog DefendOurFreedoms.US, calling him a gutsy hero.

That’s exactly what you have to believe until he proves differently. The ball’s in his court. In fact, my daughter got a ticket for driving without a license. She had to go to court (or the police station) to prove she did indeed posess a valid license. How is it that no one is forcing 0bama to prove his citizenship. He can’t even prove his age until he produces a valid birth certificate. For all we know, he could be under the required age of 35 years to be president.

Au contraire, he does care about the consequences. The destruction that will ensue is not just a happy side effect, it is the goal.
Based on the comments following the military.com article, it looks like there is considerable division in the ranks. Some there are definitely not happy with this LT, several are calling him a “racist”, and one is wishing this LT gets blown up by an IED.
FWIW, I think this LT did the right thing and aside from the — er — “undiplomatic” language, he did it the right way. All Soldiers have a fundamental right and duty to question illegal orders. If BO is ineligible to hold the Office, then it follows that his authority to lead is nullified and his orders are illegal on their face. Regardless of the outcome, however, this LT will be punished severely.
Man, these are some crazy times we’re living in.

Dittoes. Even more so, those officers like Lt. Easterling courageous enough to put their careers on the line by going public about it in defense of the Constitution.
